The Marrow is entered by traveling east from Bone Bottom; its main bosses are Bell Beast and Skull Tyrant. The available checklist combines Bone Bottom and The Marrow, so it is not a Marrow-only inventory. This guide separates those combined tasks from rewards and characters the area reference specifically associates with The Marrow.
How to reach The Marrow and understand its boundaries
From Bone Bottom, travel east to enter The Marrow. The area connects to Deep Docks and Hunter’s March, with later routes to Bellhart and Shellwood. Shakra describes it as “Crumbling roads built upon the shells of ancient bugs. All of Pharloom rests upon these fragile foundations.” (Hollow Knight Wiki: The Marrow)
The walkthrough checklist discussed below spans Bone Bottom and The Marrow. It does not establish that every item or activity in that list is physically inside The Marrow, and the available area reference does not provide room-by-room coordinates for every reward. Use the list as a completion route, not as proof of exact room placement.
Collectibles and rewards to track
The Marrow area reference names the following reward categories. It does not provide a verified total or a complete set of room-by-room locations, so the table identifies what to track without inventing coordinates or counts.

A separate walkthrough checklist covering Bone Bottom and The Marrow also includes a Mask Shard, Simple Key, Magnetite Brooch, and Shard Pendant. Those should be treated as combined-route checklist items rather than all being assigned to The Marrow. (Silksong Wiki: Steel Soul 100% Completion Guide)
Characters and when to look for them
| Character | When or why they matter |
|---|---|
| Shakra | An early encounter in The Marrow who sells map-related items. Shaun Prescott of PC Gamer recommends buying her map items early; his report of meeting her after about an hour is an observation, not a guaranteed timing. (PC Gamer) |
| Sherma | Listed among characters first met in the area. |
| Grindle | Held in a nearby prison cell. Freeing him is optional. |
| Loddie | Moves into the area after Widow’s defeat and offers pin-throwing challenges for rewards. |
| Flea Caravan and Mooshka | The caravan is the home and destination for rescued fleas; Mooshka is associated with The Lost Fleas wish. |
| Nuu | Appears after Skull Tyrant. |
| Garmond and Zaza; Flick the Fixer | Listed for Act 3. Flick handles a delivery wish at Survivor’s Camp. |
For navigation, Prescott also describes the map’s indicators for save points and unexplored areas. The exact map items and indicators available depend on what you have acquired; Shakra is the character to visit for map-related purchases.

Wishes and their completion requirements
The Lost Fleas
The Lost Fleas is associated with Mooshka in The Marrow or a Bone Bottom Wishwall. Find fleas throughout Pharloom and guide them to the Flea Caravan. The reviewed walkthrough uses five saved fleas as a completion milestone; that is the route’s target, not a total number of fleas in the world. (Hollow Knight Wiki: Wishes; Silksong Wiki: Steel Soul 100% Completion Guide)
Other combined-checklist tasks
The walkthrough’s Bone Bottom–The Marrow checklist includes these wish or objective names. The source does not establish that each is exclusive to The Marrow:

Bosses and progression
Bell Beast
Bell Beast is found bound in silk. The area reference says it can be fought after binding Silkspear in Bone Bottom. Defeating and taming Bell Beast unlocks fast travel. The available information establishes this progression but does not support a move-by-move boss strategy. (Hollow Knight Wiki: The Marrow)
Skull Tyrant
Skull Tyrant is the other named boss and the target of The Terrible Tyrant objective. The walkthrough advises jumping to dodge and attacking during openings, but this is brief route guidance rather than a detailed or independently tested combat breakdown. A supported route through the combined Bone Bottom–Marrow checklist
This is a high-level sequence from the walkthrough, not a room-by-room map. Check the area boundary as you go; the route covers both Bone Bottom and The Marrow.
- Collect the first Flint Beetle and Shard Pendant.
- Move upward for another Flint Beetle and a flea.
- Check the nearby cave for the Memory Locket.
- Finish the last Flint Beetle.
- Use Loddie’s target minigame to earn the Tool Pouch upgrade once she has arrived.
- Fight Skull Tyrant for The Terrible Tyrant objective.
- After rescuing five fleas, speak with Flea Master.
The route’s checklist also calls for 15 Garb of the Pilgrims and completion of its listed area tasks; those counts come from the walkthrough, which does not assign every checklist item to a specific room in The Marrow.

What changes in Act 3
In Act 3, survivors set up camp in the room formerly used by the Flea Caravan, and Flick the Fixer handles a delivery wish there. If Volatile Flintbeetles is unfinished by Act 3, the Memory Locket reward is placed in that camp instead. This conditional placement matters if you return later looking for the locket. (Hollow Knight Wiki: The Marrow)
How to verify anything you may have missed
The cited area reference and walkthrough do not establish a complete Marrow-only room inventory, exact coordinates for every collectible, or a collectible total. An interactive map advertises markers for bosses, NPCs, wishes, secrets, and collectibles, but its marker coverage is not independently confirmed here. (Silksong Wiki Interactive Map)
For a practical sweep, compare your map against the named reward categories above, check the relevant character and boss triggers, and revisit the former caravan room if you are in Act 3. Do not infer that a combined Bone Bottom–Marrow checklist is a complete map of The Marrow alone.
