This is the May 30, 2025 edition of NYT Connections, puzzle #719—not today’s current puzzle. Use the hints first if you want to solve it yourself; the complete groups and answers are below the spoiler warning.
Hints for Connections #719
NYT Connections gives you 16 words to sort into four groups of four, each linked by a shared theme. The New York Times Help Center says the colors progress from yellow, the easiest, through green and blue to purple, the trickiest. It also notes that words may seem to fit more than one category, even though each puzzle has exactly one solution. Read the official Connections rules.
- Yellow: Think of a long, slender object.
- Green: These things are commonly used or sold in a roll.
- Blue: Think of giveaways at an event or conference.
- Purple: Find words that can come before “shack.”
