To charge Robux for entry, open your experience in Creator Hub, go to Audience > Access Settings, set Payment to Requires Robux, choose a price from 25 to 1,000 Robux, select supported devices, and save. Roblox calls this feature paid access; it is a one-time fee to enter the experience.
Set a Robux entry fee in Creator Hub
- Open Creator Hub, select Creations, and choose the experience you want to charge for.
- Open Audience > Access Settings.
- Under Payment, select Requires Robux and enter a price between 25 and 1,000 Robux, the range in Roblox’s current documentation.
- Under Devices, choose where players can access the paid experience.
- Save your changes.
You can also start in Roblox Studio: open File > Experience Settings, choose Configure on Creator Hub under Monetization, then use the Creator Hub settings above.

Check eligibility and restrictions first
Roblox’s current paid-access documentation requires the creator’s account to be at least 30 days old and have a verified email address. The experience must be public and available to users, follow Roblox’s Community Standards and Terms of Use, have no private servers, and run properly. Enabling paid access automatically disables place copying.
- Xbox: Robux paid-access experiences are not available on Xbox.
- Refunds: Roblox says paid-access purchases are nonrefundable.
- Payout timing: Robux payouts may remain in escrow for up to seven days before being deposited to the bank linked to the account.
These requirements and limits are described in Roblox’s paid access in Robux documentation and its paid access documentation. Check the current rules before changing access settings, since platform requirements can change.

Know what happens when you change the price
Players who already bought access keep it if you later raise the entry price or turn paid access off, according to Roblox. The fee is for access to the experience; it is not a recurring subscription or a purchase of a particular in-game item.
Consider the effect on who can join
An entry fee can filter out players who are unwilling to pay before trying a game. Roblox warns that “Paid access can limit the number of users who join your game, as some users might not want to pay a fee for access.” It gives temporary paid access for a closed beta as one possible use: a developer could limit entry to engaged users who can provide feedback. That is an example, not a promise of stronger testing results or higher revenue.

Choose the right monetization model
If you want players to enter for free and decide whether to buy something inside the game, Roblox offers other options. They differ in what the player buys and whether the purchase repeats.

Robux access is different from local-currency paid access
Roblox documents a separate option that charges players in local currency rather than Robux. It has additional eligibility requirements, including verified identity, a Tipalti account, and residence in a supported country; purchases are available on desktop and web. The documented revenue-share examples vary by price point: $9.99 at 50%, $29.99 at 60%, and $49.99 at 70%, before certain fees. Earnings are held for at least 60 days and paid monthly. Buyers must receive access to the entire game, although in-game purchases such as passes and developer products are allowed under the listed policy. These are terms for the separate local-currency option, not the Robux entry-fee setup above. Review Roblox’s current local-currency paid-access rules before relying on eligibility, availability, or payout figures.

Charging Robux for access does not mean the proceeds automatically become cash. Roblox documents Developer Exchange (DevEx) as a separate program for eligible creators, with a listed minimum of 30,000 earned Robux before a cash-out request. Review Roblox’s creator earnings documentation for the applicable DevEx requirements.
