To open the puzzle chest, start beneath the statue on the left side of the Water Tower room. Walk through the center and exit through the east wall, loop around the outside to the top, then cross the center again and exit through the bottom wall. A Digital Phablet walkthrough reports that this route opens the chest in the middle of the room; the steps have not been independently confirmed here.
Where to find the Hubble Castle puzzle chest
The chest is reported to be on the second floor of Hubble Castle’s Water Tower. After entering the castle, head east to reach it. The puzzle involves moving through the room and its surrounding paths, rather than interacting with the chest directly.
Route to open the chest
- Stand beneath the statue on the left side of the room.
- Walk through the center of the room and leave through the east wall.
- Go around the outside of the room to reach its top.
- Cross through the center again and leave through the bottom wall.
Digital Phablet’s walkthrough says this sequence opens the chest in the center of the room. Its retrieved excerpt does not identify the reward.
What is confirmed about this solution
The route above comes from a secondary walkthrough whose page could not be opened, so treat it as a reported solution rather than an officially verified one. Square Enix’s April 2026 update notice mentions Past Hubble and a fix involving the Grand Conjuratorium checkpoint, but it does not confirm the Water Tower chest route: Square Enix update notice.

Square Enix announced DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a February 5, 2026 release date: official release announcement. The official FAQ says the Switch and Switch 2 versions share story, game content, and obtainable items, but are separate software and do not share save data. It also says physical editions are available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5; the Switch 2 physical version is a game-key card, while Xbox and PC versions are not available physically: Square Enix FAQ.
