How to earn Rip Chips
EA lists five Challenge types that award Rip Chips when completed: Own the Spot, Session, Stunt, Line, and Speedline Challenges. Bounties can also award Rip Chips, Tix, or both, depending on the objective.

Challenges
Open the Map to select a Challenge and set a waypoint. Missions and their tracking are available through the Hub; the bus transit system can help you get closer to a selected location. EA says a Challenge can be partially claimed and resumed, so you do not necessarily have to finish every objective in one session. EA’s progression guide describes the Challenge types and navigation.
Bounties
Look for Bounties in the Hub. The available types include Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Event, Endless, Crew, and Spotlight Bounties. Spotlight Challenges add a bonus objective to selected weekly Challenges. In EA’s described progression system, nearly all Bounties contribute to the Neighborhood you represent, while Crew Bounties contribute to their respective crews. Availability and mechanics may change with updates, so use the current Hub listings as the authority for what you can complete and claim.

What Rip Chips do—and what they do not do
Rip Chips are used to open Product Boxes. They are separate from Tix: Tix advance the Skate Pass and can be used to obtain items from its tracks, while Rip Chips cannot be exchanged for Tix. EA also identifies San Van Bucks and event currency as separate currencies in its currency guide.
Do not confuse earning Rip Chips with earning Rip Score. EA says opening Product Boxes increases Rip Score; it does not say that performing ordinary tricks directly raises it. Each Rip Score level adds profile-banner customization options and other in-game benefits. See EA’s guide to progression for the stated relationship between boxes and Rip Score.
How to turn Rip Chips into Rip Score
- Complete a Challenge or Bounty and claim its reward in the relevant menu.
- Open the game’s Product Box interface and spend Rip Chips to open a box.
- Check your Rip Score and profile-banner options after opening the box.
The official sources do not specify a fixed Chip cost per box or a guaranteed number of Rip Score points per opening. Check the in-game Product Box screen for its current cost and available contents.

Is there a fastest way to farm Rip Chips?
EA does not publish fixed payouts per objective, a guaranteed daily total, or comparative completion times. That means there is no substantiated basis for calling one Challenge or Bounty type the fastest. Compare the objectives currently shown in your game instead: note each listed Chip reward, whether it is daily, weekly, monthly, event-based, or ongoing, and whether it requires solo or co-op play. Rewards and availability can change.

Seasonal Chip costs are not permanent prices
Rip Chips may also be spent on limited-time access, not just Product Boxes. In its 2026 Season 5 announcement, EA listed a 24-hour S.U.M.R. Camp pass for 500 Rip Chips and a 24-hour Stadium pass for 250 Rip Chips. These are season-specific examples, not a standing price list; check the current game before spending Chips on access.
