To reach five stars in Jurassic World Evolution 2, open the Park Rating screen and fix the specific shortfall it shows. There is no dependable universal income, guest-count, or comfort target: requirements vary by map, mode, and scenario. Build or change the park in response to its live rating and guest information rather than adding dinosaurs at random.
Start with the Park Rating screen
Check the current rating, the progress toward the next star, and the park information shown alongside it. Use the displayed income and expenses, guest comfort, and approval details to identify what is holding this park back. The rating screen is a diagnostic, not just a score display: its current deficits should guide your next change.

Before building anything, ask which option addresses a named shortfall, whether it could improve attendance or guest spending, what it will cost to operate, and whether it also helps comfort or access. Prefer the change that solves the park’s actual problem without adding avoidable running costs.
Improve appeal and viewing where needed
If the park information points to weak appeal or attendance, improve the attractions guests can actually experience. Consider whether viewing buildings or tours give visitors a useful way to see animals, and whether guest routes reach those attractions. Adding species indiscriminately is not a five-star requirement: the useful change is the one that responds to the rating and guest information for your park.

The game features over 75 prehistoric species, according to PlayStation’s game page; that roster size describes the game, not a threshold you must meet.
Place and tune amenities for local guests
Put food, drink, and shopping amenities where guests are likely to pass, then choose modules that fit the guest mix in that area. Frontier’s advice is to “Don’t forget to use your Amenities to capitalise on your guest demographics.” Check the amenity’s displayed performance after traffic has had time to settle before expanding it or changing its configuration.

A setup that works in one location may not work in another. If an amenity is underperforming, check both its traffic and its module choices rather than assuming that building another one will solve the problem.
Address comfort, services, and access
Use the guest and coverage information to find comfort problems or missing services, then correct the issues the park identifies before adding more attractions. In a large park, consider whether distant guest areas are connected effectively. Frontier describes tours and gyrospheres as ways to connect the park through land enclosures and aviaries; use the transport options available in your current scenario.

Adjust your approach to the mode and scenario
Challenge Mode levels have bespoke conditions, maps, tasks, and available resources. Frontier’s Challenge and Sandbox feature information explains that players must find a route to five stars within each challenge’s constraints. Sandbox Mode is different: its rules can be adjusted, including by granting infinite money. A target or strategy from one mode should not be treated as a universal rule for another.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why you may be stuck at 4.5 stars
- Appeal is high but progress has stalled: compare income and expenses in the Park Rating screen. Guest spending or operating costs may be more relevant than adding more dinosaurs.
- Amenities earn little: review guest traffic and local demographics, adjust modules, and check results after the park has recalculated.
- Comfort or approval is weak: inspect the guest breakdown and address uncovered needs or access problems before building more attractions.
- The park is spread out: check whether guests can reach distant areas and use the transport available in the scenario.
- A walkthrough’s numbers do not match yours: verify its map, mode, difficulty, and stage. For example, income and comfort checkpoints reported for a Jurassic Park: Chaos Theory route are specific to that route.
Community walkthroughs and player reports can offer useful examples, but their income figures and checkpoints are scenario-specific. Use your own Park Rating screen as the deciding reference; no reliable universal income figure for five stars is established.
