Hello Games says it can send you to the base of another player who is currently on the Anomaly with you.
Visit your friend’s base from the Space Anomaly
- Join your friend in multiplayer. Make sure you can meet in the same session.
- Summon the Space Anomaly if needed. Hello Games says it can be summoned from elsewhere in the universe. See the official No Man’s Sky site.
- Meet aboard the Anomaly. Your friend needs to be there with you when you use the teleporter.
- Use the Anomaly teleporter. Select your friend’s base from the available player-base destinations.
The friend-present condition comes from Hello Games’ Beyond update notes, which say the teleporter allows visits to another player’s base when that player is “currently on the Anomaly with them.” The exact menu labels and button prompts can differ by platform or update.
Why use the Anomaly rather than a regular teleporter?
The Anomaly route is the friend-specific method Hello Games explicitly documents. Ordinary teleporters are also part of the game’s travel system: the NEXT update notes discuss multiplayer base sharing and changes to teleport destinations. However, those notes do not establish that every friend’s base will appear in a regular station or base teleporter list. If you want to visit a friend who is available to meet, use the Anomaly method.
If your friend’s base does not appear
The official material confirms the Anomaly feature but does not specify every visibility requirement or provide a definitive troubleshooting checklist. Try meeting your friend aboard the Anomaly again and check that multiplayer and network play are available. These are practical checks, not guarantees that a particular base will appear.
