Can I sign in with a console or another provider?
You can select a supported external provider on Epic’s sign-in page only if that provider account was already linked to your Epic account. Choose its icon and follow that provider’s prompts. Signing in with a different provider does not automatically open or link your existing Epic account.
If you are unsure which account is linked, try signing in with the email you used for Epic or the platform account you used when playing. Before changing any links, review the Linked accounts page. Epic warns that unlinking an account can affect access to account information.

“Invalid Credentials”
Check that you entered the correct Epic account email, then use Forgot Password if you need to reset the password. If you are certain the details are correct, Epic suggests turning off browser autofill and checking that your keyboard is using the expected language.
“The security code is invalid or expired”
Request a fresh email or SMS code and use the newest one. If you use an authenticator app, wait for its next code. Choose Try another way if Epic offers another verification method.

Quick Recap
Best Value
- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
