The cure makes the Vampire skill line inactive but retains its progress. If you only want to switch Vampirism off temporarily, use an Armory build that does not include it.
How to cure Vampirism in ESO
- Travel to a capital city and enter its Mages Guild.
- Find and speak to the Priest of Arkay, then choose the option to cure Vampirism.
ESO support lists Riften in the Rift, Rawl’kha in Reaper’s March, and Evermore in Bangkorai as locations where you can find the Priest. Alternatively, use the free cure in the Crown Store. ESO Support: Vampire Guide
What changes after the cure?
- The Vampire skill line becomes inactive. You cannot use its abilities or actively advance the line while cured.
- Your Vampire skill-line progress is retained, so curing does not erase your advancement.
- Skill points invested in the Vampire or Lycanthropy skill tree are returned automatically after curing. ESO Support: How to Cure Vampirism or Lycanthropy
- Curing can remove Vampirism-related eye and skin appearance changes; Vampire abilities are unavailable while you are cured. ESO Support: Vampire Appearance and Skills
Temporary option: switch to a non-Vampire Armory build
If you may want Vampirism back without reacquiring it, save a build that includes Vampirism in the Armory, then switch to a saved build without Vampire or Werewolf. Switching back to the Vampire build restores the condition without wiping skill-line progress. ESO Support: Armory ESO Support: Armory Builds
Save the Vampire build before switching. ESO support warns that if you do not have a saved build containing the ability, you can lose the ability and need to reacquire it. The Armory route is reversible when you have that saved build; the Priest or Crown Store route is the direct cure.
