You can buy V-Bucks through Fortnite’s in-game or platform checkout, or through the Epic Games Store using a payment method offered for your account and region. You can also redeem a Fortnite Gift Card to your Epic account balance and use that balance at checkout. Sign in to the Epic account you want the V-Bucks associated with before buying or redeeming.

Buy V-Bucks through Fortnite or the Epic Games Store
In-game or console checkout
- Open Fortnite and sign in to the Epic account you intend to use.
- Go to the V-Bucks tab, choose an amount, and continue to checkout. On PlayStation and Xbox, Epic also identifies the in-game Item Shop as a purchase route.
- Complete payment using an option shown by your platform’s checkout. Payment methods differ by country and account, so rely on the options presented on your screen rather than expecting a particular card or wallet to be available. Epic Games Support: PlayStation and Xbox purchases
Epic Games Store checkout
- Open the V-Bucks offer in the Epic Games Store and make sure you are signed in to the correct Epic account.
- Select the offer and proceed to checkout.
- Choose a payment method displayed for your account and region, then complete the order. Epic directs players to its store payment information for current options; the support material does not establish one payment method that works everywhere. Use a Fortnite Gift Card to pay with Epic account balance
A Fortnite Gift Card adds funds to your Epic account balance when redeemed. After redemption, choose Account Balance as the payment method when checking out for V-Bucks. Epic says this balance can also be used for other Epic purchases. Epic Games Support

- Check that you are using the Epic or console account you want the balance associated with.
- Redeem the Fortnite Gift Card using its QR code or PIN and follow the on-screen confirmation steps.
- Return to the V-Bucks offer in the Epic Games Store, proceed to checkout, and select Account Balance if it is offered for that purchase.
Epic says V-Bucks purchased using Epic Games account balance are available across platforms except Nintendo, which does not support Fortnite Shared Wallet. Items bought with those V-Bucks are available in the Locker on platforms linked to the Epic account. Epic Games Support
Redeem a V-Bucks card
A V-Bucks card is different from a Fortnite Gift Card: it redeems for V-Bucks, not general Epic account balance. Epic says Fortnite Gift Cards are replacing V-Bucks cards, though V-Bucks cards may still be available in some regions or retailers. Epic Games Support

- Gift card must be redeemed at EpicGames.com/redeem. This gift card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly on a console device (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, etc.)
- If you play Fortnite experiences on a console device, you need to link your Epic Games account to your console account(s) so items purchased at Fortnite.com/item-shop appear across all of your linked accounts

- Sign in to the Epic account linked to the platform where you want the V-Bucks. The platform choices shown during redemption may depend on the account you are signed into.
- Enter the card information and select the intended platform.
- If you choose PlayStation or Xbox, follow the Epic redemption flow to generate the additional Sony or Microsoft code, then redeem that second code with the relevant platform. Keep the card and receipt until redemption is complete. Epic Games Support
Can you buy V-Bucks for another player?
Epic Games Support says, “You cannot purchase giftable V-Bucks through the Epic Games online store.” Epic documents buying a physical V-Bucks card from a participating retailer as a way to give another player V-Bucks. Other ways to earn or get V-Bucks
Not every way to obtain V-Bucks is a payment method. Epic also lists Fortnite Crew, Starter or Quest Packs, and Free Pass or Battle Pass progression. These routes may involve a purchase, subscription, or gameplay progression rather than paying for V-Bucks directly. Epic Games Support
