Skull Trooper is not permanently unavailable: Epic Games’ official Item Shop listed the Fortnite outfit for 1,500 V-Bucks when checked on Oct. 8, 2026. Its original 2017 Halloween sale was limited, but that first window does not make the outfit exclusive forever. Epic has not published an official scarcity rank or complete count of its shop appearances.
What “rare” means for Skull Trooper
There are two different questions behind “rare”: whether an outfit was offered only for a limited time, and whether players can obtain it now. Skull Trooper had a defined initial sale window in 2017, but Epic’s current shop listing shows it is available again. The official sources do not establish a numerical rarity score, an all-time appearance count, or a regular return schedule.
When Skull Trooper first appeared in the Item Shop
Epic’s Fortnitemares Update 1.8 Patch Notes, published Oct. 25, 2017, announced Halloween content for Oct. 26 and included Skull Trooper among the character skins on sale in the Item Shop. The notes said the new Halloween skins would be available until Nov. 4. They also said, “Offers will rotate on both a weekly and daily basis”. This documents a limited original Halloween offer, not a promise that Skull Trooper would never return.
Can you get Skull Trooper now?
Epic’s official Fortnite Item Shop listed Skull Trooper for 1,500 V-Bucks when checked on Oct. 8, 2026. Epic’s Skull Trooper offer identifies the outfit with the Ghost Portal back bling. The shop also showed a Skull Trooper bundle for 2,300 V-Bucks on that date. These are live-shop listings, so availability and prices can change with rotation; check Epic’s shop for the current offer before buying.
