After entering the End exit portal, press Esc in Minecraft Java Edition to skip the End Poem and credits. In Bedrock Edition, select the on-screen Skip option. If you want to move through the sequence faster rather than leave it, Java players can hold Space, or hold Ctrl and Space to speed it up further.
Skip the ending sequence by edition
| Edition | What to do |
|---|---|
| Java Edition | Press Esc to skip the End Poem and credits. Hold Space to speed up the scrolling, or hold Ctrl and Space to speed it up further. These specific inputs are documented by a secondary Minecraft reference, rather than the official controls guide: Minecraft Wiki: End Poem. |
| Bedrock Edition | Choose the on-screen Skip option. The available reference does not establish one universal button or gesture for every controller or touchscreen, so follow the control shown in your interface. Minecraft Wiki: End Poem |
The official Minecraft controls guide covers keyboard and mouse, gamepad, and touch schemes, and notes that controls can be changed in the options menu. It does not document a specific skip input for every device.

When the credits appear
The End Poem and credit roll play after you enter the exit portal following the Ender Dragon encounter. Minecraft describes itself as a sandbox without an official end; many players treat defeating the dragon as beating the game, but the credits are an ending sequence rather than proof of a final endpoint. Do not confuse the credits menu with skipping
Java Edition has a separate Credits & Attribution option in the Options menu, documented in the official Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.4 release notes. That option lets you view credits; it is not the control for leaving the End Poem or ending sequence.
