That is a development-art detail, not a confirmed final in-game age: Nintendo’s official character material reviewed does not state how old she is.
Where does Frye’s reported age come from?
A secondary Splatoon reference reports that early concept art in The Art of Splatoon 3 gives Frye’s age as 22. The figure is tied to that early artwork, so it should not be treated as an unqualified statement of her age in the finished game. Read the reference to the artbook detail.

Does Nintendo confirm Frye’s age?
Nintendo’s character overview identifies Frye as a member of Deep Cut and describes her personality, but does not give her age. Nintendo’s other character and product pages likewise identify Frye and Deep Cut without stating a final age. Nintendo’s Deep Cut overview, Nintendo character material, and Nintendo product information.
Does the passage of time in Splatoon establish her age?
No. Nintendo has said that time passes in the Splatoon world alongside real-world time, using Murch as an example. That general worldbuilding point does not establish Frye’s specific age or show how to calculate it. Nintendo’s explanation of time in the Splatoon world.
