Chapter 3’s secret area is Mount Mei. To reach it, complete the Chapter 3 Treasure Hunter quest and the secret areas in Chapters 1, 2, 4, and 5, then travel from the Snow-Veiled Trail Keeper’s Shrine to The Great Pagoda and speak to the NPC inside. The Great Pagoda is the entrance point; it is not the secret area itself.

- Chapter 1: Ancient Guanyin Temple.
- Chapter 2: Kingdom of Sahali.
- Chapter 3: the Treasure Hunter quest.
- Chapter 4: Purple Cloud Mountain.
- Chapter 5: Bishui Cave.
The Treasure Hunter quest does not have to be the last item you complete. If you finished it earlier, return to The Great Pagoda after completing the other chapter secret areas. PowerPyx lists these requirements in its Mount Mei unlock guide; Neoseeker and Game8 also identify the chapter secret areas and quest as prerequisites.
Follow the route to The Great Pagoda
- Travel to Chapter 3 → Pagoda Realm → Snow-Veiled Trail Keeper’s Shrine.
- Take the snowy path beside the shrine and cross the wooden bridge.
- Continue along the path to the large gate of The Great Pagoda.
- Enter the pagoda and go up the stairs.
- Speak with the NPC, described in guides as a monk, when he is present. This triggers the transition to Mount Mei.
Guides describe the direction from the shrine somewhat differently, so follow the landmarks—the snowy path, bridge, and large pagoda—rather than relying on a compass direction. Destructoid also identifies The Great Pagoda as the key access point in its Chapter 3 secret-area guide.

If the NPC is not there
First check that the Treasure Hunter quest and all four other chapter secret areas are complete. If the checklist is complete and the NPC still has not appeared, return after seeing the first ending. Game8’s Great Pagoda walkthrough describes access as a post-first-ending event, while other guides emphasize the prerequisite checklist without specifying the same timing. Treat the ending as a timing check if the NPC is absent, not as a substitute for the required quest and secret areas.
