Yes. Forza Horizon 5 supports cross-play between platforms, so PS5, Xbox, and PC players can meet in-game. To play together, PS5 players must sign in with both PlayStation and Microsoft accounts on first launch, and new players must complete the first chapter of a Horizon Story before joining a convoy.
How to play with friends on another platform
- Make sure everyone is playing Forza Horizon 5. Playground Games says cross-play is available between all platforms. Read the developer’s cross-play announcement.
- Complete the opening requirement. If you are new to the game, finish the first chapter of a Horizon Story. Playground Games’ starting guide says this unlocks joining a convoy with friends from every platform.
- On PS5, sign in to both accounts. At first launch, connect a PlayStation account and a Microsoft account. PlayStation says this first sign-in is not required again after that launch. See PlayStation’s Forza Horizon 5 support page.
- Meet the PS5 online-play requirement. PlayStation requires an internet connection and PlayStation Plus for online play on PS5.
- Use the in-game convoy and friends flow. Create or join a convoy with your friends. The developer confirms cross-platform convoys, but does not document a current button-by-button invitation path in the cited guide, so menu labels may vary with the game’s interface.
Can PS5 play with Xbox, Steam, or PC?
Yes. Playground Games describes cross-play as available between all platforms, and the Steam store listing also identifies Forza Horizon 5 as supporting Cross-Platform Multiplayer. That means a Steam player can play with Xbox players, and PS5 players can join friends on other supported platforms. See the Steam listing.
What can you play together?
PlayStation’s support page lists these PS5 multiplayer modes and features: Horizon Open (Racing, Drifting, and Playground Games), Horizon Arcade, Horizon Tour, EventLab, The Eliminator, Hide & Seek, Festival Playlist, and Freeroam Convoys.
Does Forza Horizon 5 have cross-save?
Cross-play and cross-save are separate features. The sources cited here confirm cross-platform multiplayer, but do not establish whether progress transfers between PS5, Xbox, Microsoft Store PC, and Steam. Do not assume that signing into the same Microsoft account carries your save across those platforms.
