The puzzle is part of the Path of Providence Abyss sequence; completing it rewards an Abyss Artifact.
Reach the Secret Garden
Secret Garden is an Abyss challenge on the Chapter IV Path of Providence route. Walkthroughs place it after the Spire of Stars and Sanctorum of Insight, though they differ in how they label the quest that leads there. PowerPyx’s walkthrough and VULKK’s guide both describe the route.
The approach involves platforming, including a moving platform. Once you reach the chamber, climb to the Abyss Nexus if you need to activate it before attempting the puzzle.
Complete the puzzle
- Retrieve the flat power block. Go to the lower-right area of the chamber and pick up the flat, glowing block. If it is out of reach, lower the large movable block and use it as a step. PowerPyx and Game8 describe this step.
- Activate the inactive sphere. Take the flat block to the empty socket beneath the left sphere and place it with Force Palm. Some walkthroughs describe using Force Current to charge or position the block, and it can help if placement is awkward; they do not establish it as a mandatory input. - Aim the newly powered sphere. Use Axiom Force on the control at the back of the sphere. Direct its beam into the elevated diamond reflector, then toward the matching target on the far wall. Check the endpoint rather than relying on the apparent angle: adjust your camera until you can confirm the beam reaches the target.
- Aim the second sphere. Cross to the other sphere and use Axiom Force to direct its beam through its reflector to the other far-wall target. Color labels and angle descriptions vary between walkthroughs, so use the targets as the reliable guide: both should light up.
- Restore power and claim the reward. Once both targets are lit, the door opens. Go through, ride the updraft, and reconnect the loose conduit or pipe. Then use Force Palm on the powered circular pedestal and collect the Abyss Artifact.
Fix common problems
The left sphere will not turn on
Check that the flat block is seated in the empty socket beneath the sphere, then use Force Palm. If positioning is difficult, try Force Current as an aid; available walkthroughs do not agree that it is required in every case.

The door stays closed
Inspect where each beam actually ends. A beam can look close to a reflector yet miss the receiver, so adjust your view to check both far-wall targets. The door opens when both targets are illuminated.
The hint or Force Palm interaction looks different
Pearl Abyss’s 1.03.00 patch notes, revised April 11, 2026, say the update improved clarity when attaching certain puzzle objects with Force Palm and improved hints in some Abyss puzzles. The notes do not mention Secret Garden by name, so they do not establish a room-specific change.

Game8 identifies the reward as one Abyss Artifact and notes that Abyss Artifacts can be used to upgrade character skills. The final interaction matters: opening the door is not the end of the challenge; restore the conduit and activate the pedestal to collect the artifact.
