Trophy screenshots use a separate setting, so you can keep those on.
Turn off automatic trophy videos
- From the PS5 home screen, open Settings.
- Select Captures and Broadcasts.
- Choose Auto-Captures, then Trophies.
- Switch off Save Trophy Videos.
This is the specific control for automatic trophy clips. PlayStation lists trophy video saving separately from other capture settings in its PS5 capture guide and its trophy support guide.
Keep trophy screenshots if you want them
In the same Trophies menu, Save Trophy Screenshots is a separate toggle. Leave it enabled if you want the console to continue saving screenshots while it stops saving trophy videos.
What not to change
The menu also includes a choice of which trophy grades to capture and a separate Trophy Video Duration option. Changing the duration does not turn off video saving; use Save Trophy Videos to stop the clips from being saved.

If the menu labels differ
PlayStation’s English-language support guidance lists the path above. Menu wording may appear translated on consoles using another system language, and labels can change after a software update. Look for the Trophies controls within Auto-Captures.
