The Digital Deluxe horse is an edition bonus, not a horse you find by exploring. If your account has the Digital Deluxe or Collector’s Edition entitlement, continue the story to the horse-selection scene in Old Trails and choose the Deluxe brown horse. PlayStation confirms which editions include the horse; the quest timing and selection details come from gameplay guides, not an official support walkthrough.
Check that your edition includes the horse
PlayStation lists the Digital Deluxe horse and saddle as Digital Deluxe Edition contents. The Collector’s Edition also includes them as digital items. Standard Edition owners can upgrade for a fee, but the current price and availability depend on the PlayStation Store region. Check your regional listing rather than relying on the original launch price.

The horse is one of several separate edition bonuses. The Digital Deluxe contents also include Snake armor, an armor dye, a sword kit, early Traveler’s Maps, and a charm; those items are not steps for unlocking the horse. PlayStation’s edition listing describes the contents and the Standard Edition upgrade route.
Choose the Deluxe horse in Old Trails
Secondary gameplay guides place the horse choice early in the story, during Old Trails, after Atsu’s flashback. PlayStation’s product information confirms the bonus but does not document this quest sequence.

- If your edition entitlement is active, select the Deluxe brown horse with its matching saddle.
The guides report that the selected horse becomes your mount for the campaign. If you do not see the Deluxe option, verify that the game is being played on the account with the Digital Deluxe or Collector’s Edition entitlement, or that a Standard Edition upgrade was completed. PlayStation confirms the edition contents and upgrade route, but the sources do not describe a dedicated missing-entitlement recovery procedure.
What the Digital Deluxe horse changes
PlayStation describes the bonus as a unique horse color and saddle dye. Gameplay guides report that horse variants do not differ in speed, stamina, or handling, so the Deluxe choice is a cosmetic option rather than a gameplay-stat upgrade.

PlayStation later listed a US Complete Edition that includes the Digital Deluxe Horse & Saddle; that listing is a separate purchase route and should not be confused with the original Digital Deluxe edition or its upgrade.

- Confirm your purchase is Digital Deluxe, Collector’s Edition with digital entitlement, or a completed Standard-to-Deluxe upgrade.
- Check that you are using the PlayStation account that owns the entitlement.
- Continue the story until the horse-selection scene; the horse is not a separate world pickup.
The official edition page establishes eligibility but does not provide specific troubleshooting steps for a missing bonus. For account- or purchase-specific problems, use PlayStation support for your region.
