These are community reports, not controlled tests or a confirmed technical diagnosis. HDR is not established as the cause: one Xbox Series X player said the issue occurred with HDR off.
Try this temporary workaround
- Pause the match. Open the in-game pause menu when the image dims.
- Resume play. A player reported that this restored the previous brightness, though the dimming returned after a later match event. Treat it as a temporary reset, not a permanent repair.
Will changing brightness or contrast fix it?
There is no evidence in the cited reports that raising brightness or contrast prevents the recurring dimming. One PS5 player said changing television settings and adjusting the in-game controls did not stop it. You can still adjust them to make the picture more comfortable to view, but do not rely on that as a fix.

What about the PC User Interface Brightness setting?
EA’s FC 24 PC update lists User Interface Brightness under Video Calibration and describes it as controlling interface brightness in menus and gameplay. EA does not identify this setting as a fix for dimming of the match scene after a set piece or other transition.

In the forum thread, an EA representative using the handle EA_LeonSK said the examples had been passed to the team for further investigation and that more information would be shared when available. That statement records a referral at the time; it does not confirm that a fix shipped or establish how current versions behave. The sources available here do not verify a current permanent patch.
