First identify which Fallout activity you mean: the Fallout Event Pass advances through XP, while the Fallout Quantum Exchange advances through bottle caps. Their fastest approaches are different. These are historical event instructions, not confirmation that either event is live on October 8, 2026.
Which Black Ops 7 x Fallout event are you trying to finish?
The Season 01 Reloaded crossover included two separate activities. The Fallout Event Pass was an XP progression track: its free track included the Sturmwolf 45 SMG, while The Ghoul and Maximus Operators were on the paid track. The Quantum Exchange instead asked players to collect bottle caps for rewards including the Hawker HX sniper rifle and the Nuka Assault SMG blueprint.
Bethesda’s crossover announcement also described both tracks and the exchange. It said a separate Fallout 76 bonus required playing one match between January 12 and February 4, 2026; players also had to opt in to Call of Duty marketing emails to receive the code. The event guides are historical, and no current return schedule is established.
How to progress the Fallout Event Pass faster
Because the Event Pass runs on XP, focus on the most XP you can earn reliably per unit of play time—not a supposedly universal best mode. Richard Devine’s Windows Central guide recommends choosing the mode where you personally perform well, then combining available XP boosts with challenges you can complete at the same time.

- Pick your best XP mode. Choose the mode where you consistently earn XP efficiently. Results depend on your performance and the challenges available.
- Activate a Double XP token, if you have one. Use an available token during play rather than treating it as a requirement.
- Check daily and weekly challenges before queueing. Select a mode and loadout that let you make progress on multiple objectives together.
- Layer in other XP goals. Camo and calling-card challenges can add progress while you play. If you are eligible, Prestige Master Title Challenges may also contribute substantial XP.
Devine’s January 8, 2026 guide reported weekly challenges worth up to 5,000 XP each and Prestige Master Title Challenges worth 25,000 XP apiece. Those are secondary-reported values, not an official guaranteed rate or a promise of how long completion will take. XP gains vary with mode, performance, available challenges, and account progression.
How to collect Quantum Exchange bottle caps faster
The Quantum Exchange used collectible bottle caps, not Event Pass XP. For the Hawker HX, Devine’s contemporaneous Windows Central guide reported a 100-cap target. His recommended route was Endgame Zone III:

- In Treyarch’s legendary Round-Based Zombies mode, the nightmare begins where reality ends. Trapped in the heart of the Dark Aether, the crew is thrust into a vast, ever-shifting hellscape. This isn’t just survival. It’s a descent into madness.
- Enter Endgame and go to Zone III.
- Loop the perimeter of the grassy area in the upper-left portion of the map.
- Clear enemy groups as you encounter them, then collect the bottle caps they drop.
- Move to the next group and continue the loop, prioritizing a route you can survive and loot consistently.
Devine reported collecting roughly 20–30 caps per Endgame run. He described Zombies as a reasonable alternative and reported that Warzone and Multiplayer were slower for his runs. These are one editor’s results at the time, not a guaranteed yield or controlled comparison across modes; your route, survival, and collection rate may differ.

The free Event Pass track included the Sturmwolf 45, while The Ghoul and Maximus Operators were on the paid track. The Hawker HX and other listed cosmetics—including the Nuka Assault blueprint, calling card, charm, reticle, loading screen, and finishing move—were Quantum Exchange rewards. Do not grind caps expecting them to advance the XP pass, or XP expecting it to satisfy the exchange.
