Buy Kicks from the Item Shop
Epic lists Kicks in their own Item Shop section. Browse the current selection, check the price shown for the pair you want, and purchase it with V-Bucks. Availability and prices can change as the Shop rotates.
For example, Epic’s Shop page listed these pairs on October 8, 2026: Freddy Slippers for 1,000 V-Bucks, UltraViolet Pulse for 1,000 V-Bucks, adidas Ultraboost 1.0 x Fortnite ‘Victory Crown Black’ for 1,000 V-Bucks, and Nike Air Baltoro for 800 V-Bucks. These are prices from that dated listing, not a guaranteed or permanent price range.
Can you get Kicks from a Pass or for free?
Chapter 2 Remix Pass: a historical unlock
Epic’s Chapter 2 Remix announcement included Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Black Toe Reimagined’ as a Remix Pass item. In an update on November 12, 2024, Epic said players could still unlock it but could not equip it until its new release date. This was a past Pass route, not evidence that the Pass or reward is currently available. Check the Item Shop for current opportunities.

The free ‘Show ‘Em Off’ emote was not a pair of Kicks
At launch, Epic offered the universal ‘Show ‘Em Off’ emote for 0 V-Bucks from November 21, 2024 at 7 PM ET through December 1, 2024 at 7 PM ET. That expired promotion awarded an emote, not footwear.
How to equip Kicks
- Open the Locker: In Fortnite, go to your Locker.
- Select your Outfit: Choose the compatible Outfit you want to use.
- Choose Kicks: Select the footwear cosmetic in the Locker’s Kicks equipment options, then apply the pair you own.
Kicks are standalone cosmetics that replace the shoes on compatible Outfits. Epic said in its March 25, 2025 update that all but a few Outfits were compatible, and removed the Shop’s Kicks Usability button. Check Epic’s current compatibility information for a specific Outfit instead of assuming it works with every character.

Where Kicks work—and where they may not
Kicks are cosmetic and do not provide a competitive advantage. Epic’s launch-era guidance listed LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Save the World, Player Reference and Dance Mannequin devices in Creative/UEFN, and LEGO or Fall Guys Creator Islands as unsupported contexts. Because this guidance dates from launch, check current in-game behavior if support in one of those modes or experiences matters to you.

Owning physical Nike or Jordan shoes does not grant the corresponding digital Fortnite cosmetic. To obtain a pair in-game, use a route Fortnite currently offers.
