To apply the effect, use an effect command that matches your edition and version. In Minecraft Education, Tonic is a separate chemistry item that cures Nausea rather than causing it.
Can you brew a Potion of Nausea?
No. In vanilla Minecraft, there is no brewing-stand recipe that produces Nausea. The effects reference lists “None” as Nausea’s potion source, so adding ingredients to a brewing stand will not make a Potion of Nausea.
Brewing recipes combine an input potion and a reagent to produce an output; for example, the official snapshot explanation shows a Water Potion combined with Nether Wart to make an Awkward Potion. Nausea is not listed as a brewing output.
How to apply Nausea with a command
If you want the screen-distorting status effect, use the effect command for the edition and version you are playing. Microsoft’s Bedrock command reference describes effect values as status-effect identifiers, but command syntax differs by edition and can change between versions. Check the current syntax for your game before entering a command; there is no single verified command string here that can be recommended across all editions.

Commands are not the same as brewing a potion item: they apply a status effect through the game’s command system. They also are not the ordinary survival brewing route the question may imply.
What about custom Bedrock potions?
Microsoft documents ways to create custom potion items in Bedrock using /give or a custom item, but its examples do not list Nausea as a ready-made potion value. The documentation also notes that data values may change. That is not a documented vanilla brewing recipe for a Potion of Nausea.

Minecraft Education has a Tonic that cures Nausea
Do not confuse a curing item with a potion that inflicts the effect. The official Minecraft Education Chemistry Lab Journal lists Tonic as a chemistry product that cures Nausea. Its ingredients are Bismuth, blaze powder, and an awkward potion. Tonic is an Education chemistry feature, not a way to give a player Nausea.
