To reach Godhome in Hollow Knight, enter the Junk Pit in the Royal Waterways, unlock Godseeker’s golden cocoon with a Simple Key, then use the Dream Nail on her. You do not need to complete a Pantheon first.
Reach the Junk Pit in the Royal Waterways

Go to the Royal Waterways and find the bench near the route to the Junk Pit.

Use Desolate Dive or Descending Dark on the floor below the bench to break through to the area beneath it.

Near Flukemarm’s location, find and break the roof to enter the Junk Pit.

Free Godseeker and enter Godhome

Find Godseeker’s golden cocoon in the Junk Pit and open it with any Simple Key. The Pale Lurker in the Colosseum of Fools drops an additional key behind a fake wall if you need another one; it is only one possible source.

After freeing Godseeker, use the Dream Nail on her to enter Godhome. She also drops the Godtuner, but picking it up is not what transports you there.

Do you need to complete a Pantheon first?
No. The first three Pantheons are challenges available inside Godhome, not requirements for entering it. Pantheon of the Knight unlocks after completing the first three Pantheons. Pantheon of Hallownest unlocks after completing the first four and obtaining Void Heart. Most ordinary bosses in a Pantheon must also have been defeated outside Godhome first.
If Godseeker sends you somewhere unexpected
After you complete the first three Pantheons, Dream Nailing Godseeker has a 2% chance of sending the Knight through the Tuner Memory. This is a one-time memory sequence: inspect its tuning device and the Knight is transported onward to Godhome. The 2% figure is stated by the Hollow Knight Wiki; its original publication date is not identified.
