Roblox’s experience page lets you browse servers that are available now, but Roblox does not document a player-facing history for finding a specific public server you joined in the past. Your best options depend on what you mean by “old”: a different current public server, a friend’s active server, a private server you belong to, or an earlier version of a game.
Find another public server that is available now

Open the Roblox page for the experience you want to play.

Scroll to the Servers area. Depending on the experience and the app version, it may show public servers you can join. In some experiences, public options appear under Other Servers, alongside sections such as Private Servers or Servers My Friends Are In. Those labels are not guaranteed to appear in every experience. See Uplift Games’ Adopt Me instructions for an example of that layout.

Choose a listed server and try to join it. This is a way to select among available servers, not to look up a particular public instance from your past.

Rejoin a friend who is in the server
If someone you know is still in the target server, you may be able to join through their profile or a search result. Roblox Support says players can join friends who are already playing an experience, but the friend must be joinable and the experience’s access settings must permit it.

Search for the friend’s username or open their Roblox profile.

If they are in an experience and their settings allow it, look for Join Experience and select it.

Roblox’s instructions are in How to follow or join another player in experiences. Online status and visibility controls can affect whether you can see or join someone; see Online Status and Visibility.
Find a private server you belong to
Open the same experience page and check Private Servers. Roblox says this area lists private servers you created or are part of when the experience creator has enabled the feature. Whether you can enter a particular server also depends on its configuration and applicable privacy or parental-control settings.

Roblox’s player-facing guidance reviewed here does not document a history or lookup tool for past public server instances. The Servers area is for server options available now; it is not presented as a record of every server you previously visited. If the instance is no longer running, or nobody you can join is still there, these documented routes do not provide a way to recover it.

Does “old server” mean an older game version?
An older game version is different from a public server you visited earlier. During experience updates, Roblox may move players from servers running an older place version into updated servers and close the old server, as described in its update announcement. A player cannot use the experience page’s server list to select an earlier version.
Roblox Creator Hub’s Version History is for creators managing and restoring prior place versions; it is not a player-facing archive of old servers.
Why Creator Hub’s Server Browser won’t recover your session
Roblox Creator Hub’s Server Browser is an administrative tool for experience owners and collaborators. Roblox’s Creator Services Team described it on March 25, 2026, as listing active servers for an experience; its server-browsing tools are intended for administrative use, not for players to retrieve past sessions or for custom matchmaking. If Roblox says you do not have permission
Error 524 typically means you lack permission to join the experience or private server. Check the server’s access settings, your privacy or parental-control settings, or ask its owner to confirm that you have permission. Roblox explains the error in its Error Code 524 support article.
