“OS settings” means your phone or tablet’s settings—not a menu inside Roblox. Roblox mentions these settings when explaining that some devices may require the Home screen shortcuts permission to add a game shortcut.
What “OS settings” means in Roblox
OS is short for operating system: the software that runs your device. Its settings are accessed through the device itself, outside Roblox. Roblox does not provide one universal set of steps for finding this permission, because the navigation depends on the device.
The permission Roblox refers to is specifically for its game-shortcut feature. The official Game Shortcuts instructions do not say that this permission is required for every Roblox feature or on every device.

Some devices may require the Home screen shortcuts permission to be enabled in their OS settings. Roblox does not specify the exact settings path, so the labels and taps can vary by device.
If “Add to Home Screen” is missing
The option may not appear for every user. Roblox says the feature is being introduced to mobile users on a rolling basis, and availability varies by device manufacturer. Its official instructions do not establish a universal fix or settings path for making the option appear.

For device-specific navigation, identify your phone or tablet model and operating-system version first. Those details determine which settings screens and permission labels you may see.
