The easiest way to reach it is from the west side of the moat: paraglide toward the castle, swim the remaining distance, then climb to the Study’s open window and step back outside onto the bridge.
Find the memory on Zelda’s bridge
Look for the walkway connecting Princess Zelda’s Room and her Study, on the west side of Hyrule Castle. The glowing memory trigger is outside on that bridge—not deep inside the castle. Guides may number this memory differently depending on whether they count quest steps or arrange the photo album, so use the two room landmarks to identify it.
Reach the bridge from the west side
- Start on the west bank of the moat. Use the map and nearby room landmarks to orient yourself toward Zelda’s Study.
- Paraglide across as much of the moat as you can. Aim for the rocky bank below the tower that contains the Study.
- Swim the remaining distance, then climb the tower. The climb can consume a lot of stamina; stamina-restoring food and climbing gear can help, but neither is required.
- Enter through the Study’s open window. The towers cannot be reached from inside the castle, so approach this one from the exterior.
- Step outside onto the connecting walkway. Move along the bridge between the Study and Zelda’s Room to reach the glowing memory trigger.
- Leave the walkway promptly after activating the memory. A Guardian Skywatcher circles the area and can target Link.
Prepare for the exposed approach
The west-side route avoids searching the castle’s interior, but it is not a safe stroll: the moat crossing and tower climb leave Link exposed, and Guardians patrol nearby. Bring stamina-restoring food if you have it, and be ready to move quickly once the memory is activated. The route is recommended for its direct landmarks, not because it removes the castle’s hazards.
Use the photo clue if you want to find it naturally
Zelda’s photographs on the Sheikah Slate are intended to help Link identify memory locations. The Camera Rune is obtained at the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. If you already have the relevant photograph, compare its landmarks; otherwise, the bridge between Zelda’s Room and Study gives you a direct destination.
