No—Adopt Me says it does not return pets players trade away, including pets lost in scam trades. You can report the trade through the in-game Trade License, but reporting is not a way to guarantee that a pet will be restored. If your Roblox account may have been compromised, secure it as well.
What Adopt Me says about getting a pet back
Adopt Me’s support guidance says it does not assist with hacks or scams and directs players to report scam trades through the in-game Trade License. In a November 5, 2020 update, the game stated, “Please remember that we do not give back pets players trade away.” The announcement described the Trade License as a way to view trade history and report scammers, but its exact menus may have changed since then. Read the Adopt Me announcement and check the current in-game interface for the reporting option.
How to report a scam trade
- Use the Trade License in Adopt Me. Open its trade history and use the reporting function for the trade. Adopt Me’s current support guidance identifies this as the route for reporting scam trades; it does not promise that a report will return the pet. See Adopt Me Support.
- Report Roblox rule violations to Roblox. If the player’s conduct violates Roblox Community Standards, report it through Roblox’s Report Abuse process. Roblox recommends reporting scammers, but this is a platform conduct report, not a guaranteed item-recovery process. Roblox’s scam and cheating guidance.
If someone may have accessed your Roblox account
A scam trade and an account takeover are different problems. If you shared login information, or suspect someone else accessed your account, protect the account promptly:
- Change your password using Roblox’s official site or app, and do not sign in through links sent by another player.
- Never share your password, browser cookies, two-step verification codes, or backup codes.
- Enable two-step verification in your account security settings.
- Contact Roblox account support if you cannot regain control of the account. Adopt Me lists its own support for experience issues, while Roblox explains that creator support is independent of Roblox.
Roblox’s security guidance explains how to keep account credentials and verification codes private and enable two-step verification: Roblox account safety.
