Techland presents it as a human settlement in the game’s post-apocalyptic world. Its European look has real-world inspirations, but the available sources do not establish that Villedor is Warsaw, Wrocław, or any other named city.
What is Villedor?
Villedor is the main city setting of Dying Light 2: Stay Human. Techland describes it as “the last city standing on Earth” in the game’s premise. Its official story guide calls it “the last great human settlement” after the fall of Harran, and says the city is reshaped by players’ decisions. That is part of the game’s fictional world, not a claim about a real settlement. Techland’s official game page; Techland’s official story guide.

Where is Villedor supposed to be?
Villedor has a European-inspired appearance, but the sources do not identify it as a real city or establish a definitive real-world country for it. A Gamepressure interview with a Techland representative discusses European inspirations and the design of a virtual city; it does not confirm a one-to-one real-world location.
As a result, claims that Villedor is specifically Warsaw, Wrocław, or another European city should be treated as fan speculation, not established canon. The distinction is between a fictional setting shaped by real-world visual references and a direct portrayal of a real place.

Is there a real place named Villedor?
The available sources establish that the Villedor in Dying Light 2 is fictional; they do not establish whether any unrelated real-world place shares the name. A community-maintained Dying Light reference page also describes the game location as fictional, but Techland’s material is the stronger basis for that conclusion.
