What TRUEFORCE changes—and what it does not
The central difference is TRUEFORCE. Logitech describes the G923 system as connecting feedback to in-game physics, while the G29 product page describes dual-motor force feedback without claiming TRUEFORCE. The feature’s value depends on whether your games support it and whether you prefer the resulting feedback. The manufacturer specifications do not establish that it improves lap times or that every driver will enjoy it.
TRUEFORCE does not mean the G923 has a higher published torque rating: Logitech lists 2.3 Nm for both the G923 and G29/G920. Do not read the newer model number or the TRUEFORCE branding as evidence of more force.

Check platform compatibility before comparing prices
The G29 is the PlayStation-and-PC model. Logitech lists support for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. The G920 is the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC counterpart. The G923 is available in distinct PlayStation/PC and Xbox/PC versions.
That means an Xbox owner should compare the Xbox G923 against the G920. A G29 is not the Xbox version. Confirm the exact SKU and the game’s supported hardware before checkout; a product-family name alone may not identify the platform variant clearly.

These are documented feature differences, not proof that one wheel is universally more comfortable or responsive. The cited product information does not provide independent comparative testing of feel, noise, reliability, or performance.
Which wheel is the better buy?
Choose the G923 if TRUEFORCE matters to your game library
Pick the G923 if you can get the correct platform version, play compatible games, and value its feedback and control additions enough to justify the price you find. Check support for your specific titles: a TRUEFORCE-capable wheel does not make every game use the feature.

Choose the G29 if it is meaningfully cheaper
For PlayStation or PC, the G29 remains a sensible option if you do not prioritize TRUEFORCE and find it at a real discount compared with the G923. Treat that as a conditional value case, not a permanent price difference: Logitech’s US pages showed the same listed price for both product families when accessed on October 8, 2026.
Compare the Xbox models on Xbox
For Xbox, compare the Xbox G923 with the G920, checking the exact variant and your games’ compatibility. The G29 is not the Xbox alternative.

Factor accessories and total cost into the decision
Logitech sells or promotes its Driving Force Shifter for the G29/G920 family and features it alongside the G923. Confirm that the specific shifter listing matches your wheel and platform, and check whether it is included or sold separately. Logitech also promotes Playseat Challenge bundles, but that does not establish compatibility with every third-party stand. Check the mounting details of any seat or stand you plan to use.
When comparing offers, add the cost of any shifter or mounting solution you need, then compare included accessories, condition, and return terms. The listed wheel price alone may not represent the cost of the setup you want.

What the specifications cannot settle
Logitech’s product material is useful for identifying features, ratings, and platform variants, but it is not an independent head-to-head review. It does not settle which wheel feels better to a particular driver, how noisy either is in a given setup, how long either will last, or whether TRUEFORCE produces a benefit in a specific game beyond the manufacturer’s description. Try to assess those questions against your own game list and preferences rather than assuming a universal winner.
