Veil of Secrets may be worth trying if you want a mystery told through a choice-driven story app. One important distinction: that is the Choices: Stories You Play story—not the separate Veil of Secrets: Mystery Game by Writecream, which is a standalone mobile game.
Which Veil of Secrets are you looking for?
The name refers to two different mobile experiences. The Choices catalogue includes a story titled Veil of Secrets; a fan reference describes its walkthrough as help for readers making choices in that story. The platform presents itself as a choice-driven story game, with in-app purchases. Choices: Stories You Play on Google Play.
There is also a separate Google Play app called Veil of Secrets: Mystery Game, published by Writecream. Its listing describes clue-finding, puzzle and exploration gameplay, and multiple endings. Those features belong to Writecream’s game, not the Choices story. Writecream’s Google Play listing.
Is the Choices story worth playing?
A cautious yes if your priority is reading a mystery in a choice-driven story app. The available information identifies it as a mystery story, and some community commenters describe it positively. Those comments are individual impressions, not a representative review sample, so they cannot establish that the writing or pacing will work for you.

Who is most likely to enjoy it?
- Consider it if you enjoy mystery fiction delivered as a choice-driven story and are comfortable checking access and purchase details in the app.
- Look elsewhere if you specifically want a confirmed puzzle-and-exploration game, substantial branching, or a well-established review consensus. The available evidence does not verify those qualities for the Choices story.
How it differs from the standalone game
Writecream’s similarly named Veil of Secrets: Mystery Game is the one whose Play Store description advertises clue-finding, puzzles, exploration, and multiple endings. Its listing was updated December 16, 2025, but it is a different product and should not be used to judge the Choices story. If that gameplay is what you want, make sure you have the Writecream app listing open before downloading. Writecream’s Google Play listing.
