Lethal League Blaze turns ball control into combat. Here’s what its Steam review snapshot says and what to know about solo and multiplayer play.

Lethal League Blaze is a ball-combat game, not a conventional sports simulation: players strike and manipulate a ball to hit their opponents, while character special moves add another layer to each match. Steam’s English-language user reviews are strongly positive, but the game’s appeal depends on whether you enjoy learning its unusual combat and playing solo or against other people.

How does Lethal League Blaze work?

Team Reptile developed and published Lethal League Blaze, which Steam lists as released on October 24, 2018. Its publisher describes the goal simply: “In the game, the goal is to beat your opponents with the ball.” Players send the ball at rivals and use character special moves; this makes the central challenge about timing and controlling the ball rather than scoring in a standard sport. Steam’s game listing characterizes it as easy to pick up but hard to master.

That distinction helps explain the game’s likely learning curve. The basic objective is immediately understandable, but getting comfortable with ball manipulation, opponents’ attacks, and character abilities is where the mastery comes in. Steam’s listing presents these mechanics and the game’s stylized presentation and soundtrack as part of its identity; whether those aesthetics suit you is a matter of taste, not a measured review result.

What do the reviews say?

Steam displayed an English-language user-review summary of 97% positive from 4,044 reviews when its listing was accessed on October 8, 2026. Steam labels that snapshot “Overwhelmingly Positive.” These are Steam user reviews, not a separately sampled critic consensus, and both the percentage and review count can change. The figure is best read as a strong signal that the game has been well received by its Steam reviewers, not as a universal score or a guarantee that every player will enjoy it.

Steam also reproduces publication-attributed review excerpts. PCGamer called it “The sequel to the best ball-based fighting game is just as rad and even deeper,” while Rock Paper Shotgun described it as “an extremely confident sequel that improves on just about every part of its predecessor.” Those snippets offer additional positive context, but they are attributed to publications rather than named individual reviewers and do not establish a broad critic-score average.

Can you play Lethal League Blaze with friends?

Yes. Steam lists both online PvP and shared/split-screen PvP, alongside single-player. That gives the game two distinct multiplayer setups: play online with opponents, or share a screen for local matches. Steam also lists full controller support and identifies Xbox and PlayStation controllers; it does not say that a particular controller model is required.

  • THE LEGENDARY FIREBIRD: Blaze is based on the classic, world-known card game originating from Russia called "Durak“ and part of our radiant culture series. All of these games are culturally anchoring theme and illustration with local artists.
  • STRATEGY CARD GAME: In Blaze, players try to get rid of their cards, but have to achieve this in an extremely clever and unusual way. The player whose turn it is plays together with the second next player. This leads to constantly changing alliances. Whoever successfully defends and attacks wins the valuable feathers of the firebird and thus the game.
  • UNIQUE GAMEPLAY WITH SHIFTING ALLIANCES: Challenge the next player by playing cards of the same number. By playing higher cards, they can reject your cards. Extend the challenge together with your supporter by playing more cards of any number which are now in play.
  • CHALLENGING AND COMPETITIVE: If a player is unable to defend themself, they must take all the cards they have played into their hands. Once the draw pile is empty, it‘s all game on: who can get rid of their hand cards first?
  • NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND AVERAGE PLAYTIME: This fun, fast-paced word game is designed for 3 to 5 players and is suitable for ages 10 and older. Average playtime is approximately 20 minutes.

For local play, a controller can be a practical optional setup choice, especially when multiple people share a screen. The official listing confirms controller support, but does not specify a required number of controllers or establish that every model works identically.

Which platforms are listed?

Steam lists the PC version, and Nintendo’s official store lists a Nintendo Switch version. The Nintendo UK listing gives July 12, 2019 as that region’s release date. These listings confirm those editions, but do not establish current availability on every console storefront or in every region. Check the relevant store for availability where you live.

Who is likely to enjoy it?

  • Consider it if you want a competitive game built around an unusual, easy-to-understand objective with room to improve through practice.
  • It may be a better fit with friends if you are drawn to local or online PvP; Steam lists both modes as well as solo play.
  • Look elsewhere if you specifically want a realistic sports simulation, or if you prefer a game whose appeal does not depend on learning fast-paced ball combat.
  • Treat the review score as a signal, not a personal prediction: the available 97% figure reflects Steam’s English-language user reviews at a particular access date, rather than every platform or player group.

Steam’s listing does not establish current pricing or online player population, and the available storefront information does not support a complete cross-platform availability check. Those details can vary over time and by region.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
