Which handgun should you use?
Choose the M19 for more power per shot
Guides characterize the M19 as packing a greater punch than the standard handgun, while REVIL describes the G17 as weaker but higher-capacity. If you would rather have more impact from each shot than carry three additional rounds per magazine, the M19 is the better fit.
Choose the G17 for its larger magazine
The G17’s 10-round capacity gives you three more rounds between reloads than the M19. It is the straightforward option if magazine capacity matters more to you than the M19’s relative power advantage.

Where to get each handgun
G17: Main House garage
The G17 is found on the garage floor beside the deputy’s body. Evil Resource’s G17 entry lists its location and capacity.
M19: Guest House and repair route
The M19 appears in the Guest House. Later, a Broken Handgun can be combined with a Repair Kit to produce a functioning M19; see Evil Resource’s Broken Handgun entry and its Repair Kit entry. Windows Central’s 2017 Repair Kit guide also describes the M19’s power and capacity tradeoff.

Ammo compatibility
Both handguns use standard Handgun Ammo and Enhanced Handgun Ammo. Evil Resource describes Enhanced Handgun Ammo as more powerful and having greater stopping power than standard handgun ammunition; its Enhanced Handgun Ammo entry covers the ammo type.
