There are 13 distinct Miquella’s Cross locations in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, according to the location guides that name each site. They trace Miquella’s route through the Realm of Shadow; interacting with each cross reveals a brief message about something he abandoned. This checklist gives the region and route for every cross. Later locations include major story spoilers.

Where to find all 13 Miquella’s Crosses
Follow the list in order to trace the route from Gravesite Plain to Enir-Ilim. Each entry includes the cross’s area, a route cue, and its in-game message. NPCs and quest states can change as you progress, so nearby characters may not always be in the same place.

Three-Path Cross — Gravesite Plain
From Scorched Ruins, follow the main road north. Redmane Freyja and Hornsent are nearby, and Hornsent gives you a map. The cross reads: “I abandon here the first of the flesh of my body.”

Main Gate Cross — Belurat Tower Settlement
From Three-Path Cross, continue toward Belurat and the large gate. Ansbach and Moore are nearby. The message reads: “I abandon here a part of the flesh of my body.”

Belurat Interior Cross — Belurat Tower Settlement
In the rooftop section where Gravebirds perch, look for a doorway beside ruined stone steps and the giant-scorpion encounter. Check the rubble behind the doorway. The message reads: “I abandon here my arm sinistral.”

Pillar-Path Cross — Gravesite Plain
Cross Ellac Greatbridge to Castle Front, then take the road south-southeast rather than entering Castle Ensis. Thiollier is nearby. The message reads: “I abandon here a part of the flesh of my body.”

Castle Ensis Checkpoint
Look for the cross just before the main gate leading farther into Castle Ensis. The message reads: “I abandon here the flesh of my body.”

Highroad Cross — Scadu Altus
After defeating the boss at Castle Ensis, look a short distance beyond the exit. Leda and Hornsent are nearby. The message reads: “I abandon here my heart.”

Moorth Ruins — Scadu Altus
Travel east from Highroad Cross to Moorth Ruins. Dryleaf Dane is nearby. The message reads: “I abandon here the flesh of my body.”

Scaduview Cross — southern Scadu Altus
Follow the road south of Moorth Ruins. Near a dragon, use the spiritspring at the plateau’s base, then follow the sloping route guarded by Gravebirds. The message reads: “I abandon here my eye.”

Cerulean Coast Cross
From the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace, follow the road south. After the regional map marker, take the sloping path. The message reads: “I abandon here my doubt and vacillation.”

Fissure Cross — Stone Coffin Fissure
Find this cross in the Stone Coffin Fissure dungeon, which you visit during Thiollier’s quest. The message reads: “I abandon here my love.”

Storehouse Fourth Floor Cross — Shadow Keep
Climb through the Specimen Storehouse using stairs and hanging specimens. Cross the large humanoid carcass and jump the gap to a landing with the cross and a Site of Grace. Freyja and Ansbach are elsewhere in the storehouse. The message reads: “I abandon here my arm dextral.”

Rauh Ancient Ruins East Cross
Pass through the first temple complex into the lower plateau area. A paladin-type enemy is near the cross, with a Brazier Giant beyond it. The message reads: “I abandon here the last of the flesh of my body.”

Enir-Ilim Spiral Rise Cross
Progress through Enir-Ilim past the outdoor garden, then climb the grand staircase into the chamber with inquisitor spellcasters. The message reads: “I abandon here all my fears.”

What the crosses reveal
The crosses are markers along Miquella’s passage through the Realm of Shadow. Their short inscriptions record what he left behind, from parts of his body to his heart, love, doubts, and fears. Bandai Namco’s expansion prologue describes him “Divesting himself of his flesh, his strength, his lineage. Of all things Golden.” The sequence of messages gives that premise a series of concrete landmarks to follow.
The crosses also make useful waypoints. Several sit near NPCs, Sites of Grace, or quest-related areas; checking around them can help orient you as well as advance your understanding of Miquella’s journey. Bandai Namco’s character guide places Freyja and Hornsent at Three-Path Cross, Moore and Sir Ansbach at Main Gate Cross, Thiollier at Pillar Path Cross, and Dryleaf Dane near Moorth Ruins. Ansbach asks players to tell him when they discover previously unknown crosses.
Why some guides say 14
Location guides from Eldenpedia and GameSpot identify 13 distinct crosses. Gamer Guides’ interactive map currently has 14 entries, but its last two entries cluster around Spiral Rise. That is a map-entry discrepancy, not confirmation of a fourteenth distinct location. Eldenpedia also says each cross has one Scadutree Fragment.
