Rockstar’s normal flow prompts new CEOs and VIPs to name the organization; an existing organization is renamed separately through the SecuroServ VIP menu, and Rockstar says that rename costs money. If a name saves and later reverts, there is no confirmed universal fix—work through the checks below before trying community-reported save-trigger experiments.
First-time registration: reach the naming prompt
Organization naming is part of registering through SecuroServ or the Freemode “Register as Boss” flow, not a separate setting to open at any time. Rockstar says SecuroServ gameplay becomes available after you complete or skip the tutorial. If you have not done that, finish or skip the introduction before troubleshooting the naming prompt. - Complete or skip the GTA Online introduction/tutorial if you have not already.
- Open the Interaction Menu and choose the SecuroServ or Freemode “Register as Boss” option.
- On a first registration, follow the prompt to create and name your organization.
Rockstar’s April 4, 2024 Title Update 1.68 notes specifically confirm that players registering as a CEO, VIP, or MC President for the first time through the Freemode prompt can name their organization or motorcycle club: “Players registering as a CEO/VIP/MC President for the first time via a ‘Register as Boss’ prompt in Freemode can now name the Organization/MC.” The update covered PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. If registration or the naming option is missing
Check whether your character is already serving in a role that prevents the registration you are trying to start. Registration can also be unavailable in a session with too many CEOs. Rockstar’s GTA Online guide advises finding a new session in that situation. Rockstar GTA Online guide (Spanish)

- Leave any incompatible active role and try the registration flow again.
- Switch to another session if the game will not let you register as a boss.
- If you are trying to change an existing organization’s name, use the rename process below rather than expecting the first-time prompt to appear again.
Rename an organization you already created
For an existing VIP organization, Rockstar says renaming is available from the SecuroServ VIP menu in the Interaction Menu and costs money. Rockstar’s SecuroServ guide
A secondary guide describes the option as SecuroServ > Management > Name, but menu wording and availability can vary with context and game version; treat that as a navigation hint, not a guaranteed official path. GTA BOOM’s naming guide

A PS4 or PS5 console with a wired connection via a LAN cable is recommended. Version 4.0 of the Remote Play App on iOS and iPadOS or version 4.1 on macOS is required for games to be playable with the controller over Bluetooth.
If the name is accepted but later reverts
Rockstar has fixed naming-related problems in past updates, but those fixes do not establish that every current PS5 name reset has the same cause. Title Update 1.69 addressed an issue that prevented players from using the default name “An Organization.” An earlier fix in Title Update 1.61 addressed organization names displaying as “An Organization” after save migration, as well as an intro rename issue. If the current name is accepted but does not stick, you can try the following community-reported experiments. They are not verified fixes from Rockstar, so test one at a time and check whether the name persists after returning to the game:

- Try a simpler or different organization name.
- After renaming, change your outfit to prompt a save, then check the name again.
- Try changing the office interior and verify whether the name persists afterward.

Do not reset your character as a routine response to this issue: there is no established evidence here that doing so is necessary or safe for a naming failure.
