What the Steam Deck compatibility rating tells you
SteamDB lists My Little Universe as Steam Deck Playable and SteamOS-compatible, but its recorded compatibility test is dated October 14, 2023. That third-party record is useful context, not a guarantee about your current setup; check the game’s current compatibility details in your Steam library or store.
Valve describes Playable games as titles that may require manual tweaking, unlike Verified games that work great out of the box. Valve also says its Deck compatibility review is ongoing, so a rating does not establish that a particular crash has a known fix. Fully restart the Steam Deck
Restart the Deck from its power menu, then launch the game again. This is a simple first check before changing game or system settings.

Install pending SteamOS and game updates
Check for available SteamOS updates and updates for My Little Universe, install any that are pending, and retry. If the crash began right after an update, record that timing rather than assuming the update is the cause.

Check the current compatibility details
Open the game’s library or store page on your Deck and review its current Steam Deck compatibility information. Ratings can change, and the SteamDB test record is from 2023.

See whether one save, location, or action triggers it
If the game launches, note whether it fails with one particular save, in one location, or after a repeatable action. Do not delete saves as a test; first establish whether the problem is reproducible and keep your progress intact.

Change compatibility settings one at a time

Send a reproducible report to official support
Email the game’s listed support contact at [email protected]. Include your Deck model, SteamOS version, game version, when the crash occurs, what you were doing immediately beforehand, and the checks you have already tried.
What to include in a useful crash report
Be specific about whether the game crashes on startup, closes during gameplay, or freezes after resuming from sleep. Include the steps that reproduce the problem, whether it affects one save or more than one, and any compatibility settings you changed. Steam lists Estoty as the developer and SayGames as the publisher, and provides the email above as the official support contact. Its support listing gives Windows and Mac minimum requirements, not a Steam Deck-specific diagnosis or fix; those PC requirements cannot identify the cause of a Deck crash.
