NASCAR 25 is iRacing’s officially licensed NASCAR game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC through Steam. It launched on consoles on October 14, 2025, and on Steam on November 11, 2025. The game includes four NASCAR-related series and a career mode; it is digital-download only, and online play does not support cross-platform matchmaking.
What is NASCAR 25?
NASCAR 25 is a licensed racing game developed and published by iRacing. The title refers specifically to the 2025 game. Its release dates and supported platforms are:

What modes and series are included?
The Steam listing names four main modes: Quick Race, Championship, Multiplayer, and Career. It lists ARCA Menards, Xfinity, Craftsman Truck, and Cup as the series represented. The publisher says online races can support up to 40 players; that is a stated game capacity, not a guarantee of a full lobby or a measure of online performance.
How does career mode work?
The announced career path starts in ARCA Menards and can progress through the other series toward the Cup Series. iRacing describes career features that include driver and vehicle customization, contracts, money, facilities, staff, and strategic decisions.

Those details describe the advertised systems. They do not establish how deep the career is, how its progression is balanced, or how it performs in play. The console launch announcement outlines the features.
Which edition should you buy?

The publisher described the 2025 Season Pass as including in-game currency and bonuses, plus three DLC packs of paint schemes and firesuits. The official FAQ also lists DLC types such as paint schemes, firesuits, career bonus dollars and reputation, and VIP employees. Check the current platform storefront for the exact available add-ons and price; offers can vary by region and change over time. There is no physical disc edition: the official FAQ says the game is digital-download only.

Does NASCAR 25 support cross-play or Steam Deck?
No. The official FAQ says NASCAR 25 does not support cross-platform play, so players on PS5, Xbox, and Steam should not expect to race together. It also lists Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, VR, triple-screen setups, and mouse input as unsupported.
For wheel users, the FAQ says some wheels work out of the box and mappings can be added for devices that support XInput, GameInput, or DirectInput. It cautions that not every PC device can be supported, so this is not certification for any particular wheel model.

Is NASCAR 25 worth buying?
The available product information establishes what the game offers and where it runs, but it does not establish a quality or performance verdict. Before buying, match the decision to your setup and expectations: confirm you own a supported platform, decide whether the base game or Season Pass bundle suits you, and check the storefront for current price and add-on contents. If cross-platform racing, Steam Deck play, VR, or a physical copy is essential to you, the stated limitations rule those options out.
For context on the intended audience, NASCAR.com’s October 14, 2025 launch feature quoted iRacing executive vice president Steve Myers describing a goal of making it possible for fans to pick up a controller and start a quick race.
