The figure surfaced for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Party Jamboree; it should not be read as a U.S. price or as the price of every Switch 2 Edition. If you already own a supported Switch game, you may be able to buy only its upgrade pack instead of the bundled edition.
What the C$115 listing does—and does not—show
NT Deals Canada listed Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV at C$114.99. The catalog result did not state a year, and the figure was not verified against a current official Nintendo Canada listing. Prices and regional taxes can change, so check the live listing in your region before buying. NT Deals Canada

That evidence supports a narrow conclusion: two named editions appeared at roughly C$115 in a third-party Canadian catalog. It does not establish a general Nintendo price, a U.S. price, or what Nintendo currently charges for every complete edition or upgrade pack.
What a Switch 2 Edition includes
Nintendo defines a Switch 2 Edition as the original Nintendo Switch game bundled with its upgrade pack. The pack differs by title: it may improve visuals or performance, add features and modes, or include new story content. The original game remains playable on Switch, but Switch 2 Edition features and content require a Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo’s upgrade-pack overview and support guidance

Your purchase options
The right route depends mainly on whether you already own the original game and whether the upgrade is included with your subscription.
| Route | What you get | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Buy the complete Switch 2 Edition | The original Switch game and its upgrade pack together. | Someone who does not own the original game and wants both. |
| Buy the upgrade pack | The title-specific Switch 2 additions; you must already own the supported original game. | An existing owner who wants the upgrade without buying the game again. |
| Access an eligible pack through Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack | Certain upgrade packs, while the required game ownership and active membership conditions are met. | An eligible member who owns the underlying game and keeps the membership active. |
Nintendo says eligible owners can purchase upgrade packs through Nintendo eShop, Nintendo Store, or retailers. The two Zelda upgrade packs are among those Nintendo lists as available to active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members; owning the corresponding original game is also required. Check the title’s current terms rather than assuming every upgrade is included. Nintendo’s upgrade-pack overview

Upgrades vary substantially by game
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom
Nintendo lists improved frame rates and resolution, faster loading, HDR support, and ZELDA NOTES for the Switch 2 Editions. ZELDA NOTES runs through a compatible smart device and requires a Nintendo Account and persistent internet access; data charges may apply. Nintendo announced the two Zelda editions for the Switch 2 launch on 5 June 2025. Nintendo’s catalog and launch announcement
Super Mario Party Jamboree
The Switch 2 Edition adds Jamboree TV and modes using mouse controls, the system microphone, and a compatible USB camera. Nintendo also lists GameShare support and visual and performance improvements. That bundle is not simply a presentation upgrade: its added modes and equipment requirements matter when weighing the price. Nintendo’s catalog

Other editions
Nintendo’s catalog also lists Switch 2 Editions for Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, with title-specific enhancements. The list is time-sensitive; Nintendo’s cited investor list dates to August 2025, so consult the current catalog for availability and each game’s actual additions. How to judge whether an edition is worth it
- Compare the same region and purchase route. Check the current full-edition and upgrade-pack totals in your eShop or retailer, including applicable tax. The C$114.99 third-party listings do not establish Nintendo’s current Canadian price.
- Account for what you own. If you have the original game, see whether Nintendo sells a separate upgrade pack; buying the complete bundle may mean paying for a game you already have.
- Inspect the specific additions. Improved performance is a different value proposition from new story content or modes, and peripheral or connectivity requirements can affect whether you will use those features.
- Check subscription eligibility. Only certain packs are included for Expansion Pack members, and the Zelda packs have the conditions described above.
- Make sure you can use the upgrade. Switch 2 is required for Switch 2 Edition features, even though the original game remains playable on the original Switch.
How the May 2026 pricing policy relates
Nintendo says preorders beginning in May 2026 for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book introduce a different MSRP for new Nintendo-published digital titles exclusive to Switch 2 than for their physical versions. That policy concerns new digital-exclusive releases. It does not explain or verify the Canadian catalog prices for Switch 2 Editions of older games. Nintendo support: digital and physical MSRP policy
