Can you transfer an Xbox save to PS5 or Steam?
No. Bethesda states: “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered does not support cross-save between different platforms.” The supported Xbox Play Anywhere sync is an Xbox ecosystem feature, not a general save-transfer system. The official sources do not describe a separate transfer workaround for moving an Xbox save to PS5 or Steam.
Why Xbox Play Anywhere is different
Xbox Wire’s launch announcement describes an Xbox Play Anywhere purchase as playable on Xbox consoles, Windows PC, and cloud, with cross-entitlements and cross-saves. For the specific save-sync behavior, Bethesda’s support FAQ says saves automatically sync between Xbox consoles and the Xbox App for PC. That should not be read as compatibility with every PC edition: Xbox Wire identifies both Steam and the Xbox App as PC storefronts, while Bethesda’s stated sync applies to the Xbox App for PC.
Which platforms is Oblivion Remastered available on?
Bethesda lists Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5 in its platform FAQ. Xbox Wire’s April 22, 2025 launch announcement specifies PC versions through Steam and the Xbox App for Windows PC, and also mentions cloud. Availability across several platforms does not make their saves interoperable.

What about saves from the original Oblivion?
Cross-save between platforms is separate from transferring a save or progression from the original game into the remaster. The official sources cited here establish the former, not whether original-game saves can be imported.
