Why did NBA 2K24’s VC prices feel high?
VC is tied to character progression as well as optional in-game items. NBA 2K Support says players can earn it through game modes, including connected MyCAREER progression, or purchase it with real money. It can be spent on MyPLAYER attributes, virtual goods, apparel, animation packages and some MyTEAM content. That mix makes VC purchases especially visible to players focused on improving a build, though the available sources do not establish a total VC cost for upgrading a particular build.

What did players say was wrong with post scorers?
In a September 2023 Reddit thread titled “2K stop ruining my builds man,” one player said they had made a post scorer at launch and that inside scoring was later patched. That is the poster’s account; it does not independently establish what changed, how much it changed, or whether all post-scorer builds were affected.
A separate September 2023 Reddit discussion, “The State of Big Men in 2K24 is Atrocious,” described frustration with big-player movement, perceived quick defensive recovery after pump fakes, contests, and stumbling or losing the ball. These are reports of player experience, not measured gameplay findings or evidence of a universal defect. They help explain why some big-player users felt their builds were unreliable, but cannot establish how common that experience was.

Did a patch fix the complaints?
A January 8, 2024 patch roundup reports several changes, including reduced effectiveness for the sprint crossover in Magic Johnson’s dribble style. It does not connect a particular change to the cited inside-scoring or big-player complaints, nor does it establish that a post-scorer fix was made. The roundup is not a complete current patch record, so it cannot resolve the status of later game versions.
In short, the available evidence supports two distinct points: dated VC bundles had high top-end prices, and some players reported frustration with post scoring and big-player animations. It does not establish that a particular price represented the cost of completing a build, that a patch definitively caused the reported gameplay problems, or that post scorers were broken for everyone.
