Meanwhile, a September 2026 report found eBay asking prices of $850 or more for the Zelda 40th Anniversary edition—not proof of completed sales or a market-wide average. Here’s how to read the price and restock signals without mistaking a listing for a guarantee.
What Switch 2 bundles does Nintendo list in the US?
Nintendo of America’s 2026 retail-offers page lists two bundles:
| # | Preview | Product | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 |
|
Nintendo Switch 2 System | $499.00 | Buy on Amazon |
| 2 |
|
Nintendo Switch 2 System with Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 Bundle | $568.00 | Buy on Amazon |
| 3 |
|
Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle with Bonus HDMI Cable & Screen Cleaning Cloth | $619.00 | Buy on Amazon |
| Bundle | Listed price | Availability detail |
|---|---|---|
| Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World | $549.99 | Offers are available while supplies last; the page does not confirm each retailer’s current inventory. Nintendo retail offers |
| Nintendo Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort | $529.99 | Listed as available October 22, 2026. Offers are while supplies last, and Nintendo says savings may vary. Nintendo retail offers |
A bundle’s presence on Nintendo’s page is useful for checking the official offer and included game, but it is not a live stock feed. Confirm the item’s availability, seller, delivery or pickup timing, and final price on the retailer’s own listing before ordering.
What does the reported scalper price actually show?
GamesRadar+ reported on September 11, 2026, that eBay listings for the Zelda 40th Anniversary console were asking $850 or more, compared with a reported official-retailer price of $520. That is a dated snapshot of asking prices, not evidence that buyers completed purchases at those prices, nor a representative resale-market average. GamesRadar+ report
#1 Best Overall
- The next evolution of Nintendo Switch
- One system, three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld
- Larger, vivid, 7.9” LCD touch screen with support for HDR and up to 120 fps
- Dock that supports 4K when connected to a compatible TV*
- GameChat** lets you voice chat, share your game screen, and connect via video chat as you play
The figure is specific to that anniversary edition. It should not be applied to the standard Switch 2 or treated as proof of how many consoles scalpers bought. The available evidence does not establish a market-wide resale premium, the share of consoles acquired by scalpers, or a series of verified resale transactions.
Why restock messages can be confusing
Restock information differed by region in the September 11 report. GamesRadar+ said the Nintendo Store UK and Ireland listing described the Zelda edition as sold out and said replenishment would be announced through the Nintendo Store app. The report said the US listing was sold out at the time but did not show the same banner. These were observations from that date, not current inventory confirmation or a promised restock schedule. GamesRadar+ report
The report characterized the edition as not limited, but that does not establish when or where more units will be available. Check the Nintendo Store for your country and the retailer listing directly; do not infer a date from a sold-out message.

How to check a listing before you buy
- Confirm the exact product. Check whether the listing is for a standalone console, a bundle, or the Zelda anniversary edition. Compare included content before judging the price.
- Check who is selling it. A product page on a retailer’s marketplace may be sold by a third-party seller rather than the retailer itself. Read the seller and fulfillment details on the live listing.
- Compare the full price. Check the final checkout total and delivery timing, not just the headline price. Nintendo says savings on its offers may vary.
- Verify stock and timing locally. Nintendo’s offer page does not establish a particular store’s inventory. Look for a current in-stock status, pickup or delivery estimate, and any quantity or ordering conditions.
- Assess condition and warranty. For a used or refurbished unit, verify condition and return terms. Nintendo says products bought on the secondhand market do not carry a Nintendo hardware or accessory warranty. Its support page describes a US/Canada refurbished selection but does not establish current Switch 2 refurbished inventory. Nintendo refurbished products and warranty information
Does Nintendo’s sales total mean stock should be available?
Nintendo reported cumulative sales of 23.68 million Switch 2 hardware units and 58.17 million software units as of June 30, 2026. Those company figures show substantial cumulative sales; they do not reveal local inventory or whether a specific special edition is available at a particular store. Nintendo company figures
Regional prices are not directly interchangeable
Prices and availability depend on country, currency, product, and date. GamesRadar+ reported prices after a September 1, 2026 increase of AU$769.95 in Australia and NZ$969.95 in New Zealand. Its report described stock as generally available at several Australian retailers, with variation by outlet. These are regional observations, not US prices or a guarantee of current stock.
