The developer’s FAQ says: “SD2 will launch into Early Access on Steam in early 2027.” It also says the game is planned for other services and platforms, including consoles, but does not name additional platforms or give dates for them. The official site links to a Steam wishlist.
No exact launch day or price is stated in the official materials. Controller support is planned for addition during Early Access.
Why is North Beach Games opening a Prague studio?
North Beach Games announced North Beach Games Prague in August 2024 as an expansion from publishing into internal development. Based in Prague, Czech Republic, the studio was announced with Sam Edwards and Tomáš Pšenička, formerly associated with Keen Software House, as its leaders. The company said its initial focus would be survival-crafting games and named Stranded Deep 2 as the studio’s first project.
