Sierra joined Overwatch on April 14, 2026, as a new damage-per-second (DPS) hero in Reign of Talon: Season 2: Summit. Blizzard’s patch notes said the season launched at 11 a.m. PT that day, establishing her playable release date. Her official hero profile is the place to check her kit, but the available official material here does not establish a complete, verified ability list, so specific ability names and effects are not listed below.
When did Sierra come out in Overwatch?
Sierra became playable on April 14, 2026, with the launch of Reign of Talon: Season 2: Summit. Blizzard’s April 14 patch notes announced that the season would launch later that day at 11 a.m. PT and introduced Sierra as a new DPS hero joining the roster.
Blizzard paired her arrival with Operation: Grand Mesa, a three-week story event about the aftermath of Sierra’s stand against Talon and the attack on Watchpoint: Grand Mesa. The event ran from April 14 through May 12, 2026, and is no longer active as of October 8, 2026. Its challenges offered lore entries and in-game rewards, including Sierra voice lines, a spray, an avatar, and a namecard.
What are Sierra’s abilities?
Blizzard’s official Sierra hero profile is the primary source for her weapon, standard abilities, ultimate, passive, and perks. The available official materials confirm her role as a new DPS hero but do not provide a complete ability breakdown. Because hero kits and tuning can change, ability names, effects, and numerical values should be checked against that profile and the latest patch notes rather than inferred from search snippets or unverified summaries.
