Overwatch 2 calls this role Support, and the strongest pick is not always the hero who restores the most health. Utility, mobility, survival, your rank, and both teams’ compositions all matter. In the most complete recent tier list available for this snapshot, PC Gamer’s June 23, 2026 ranking put Lucio, Kiriko, Wuyang, Juno, Ana, and Mizuki at the top. Treat that as an attributed expert ranking—not an official or October 2026 consensus—and check Blizzard’s live stats and latest patch notes before choosing a “best right now.”
Overwatch 2 best healers ranked
This ranking follows Rory Norris’s PC Gamer tier list, updated June 23, 2026. Norris identifies it as his own ranking and says he is a Masters player. It is a useful starting point, not a guarantee that a hero will be best in every match: the article itself notes that both allied and enemy team compositions affect the right pick.
| Tier | Support heroes | How to read the tier |
|---|---|---|
| S | Lucio, Kiriko, Wuyang, Juno, Ana, Mizuki | Top tier in Norris’s June 23, 2026 editorial ranking. |
| A | Brigitte, Mercy, Zenyatta | Strong tier in the same ranking. |
| B | Illari, Lifeweaver, Jetpack Cat, Moira | Middle tier in the same ranking. |
| C | Baptiste | Lowest tier in the same ranking. |

Who is the best healer in Overwatch 2?
There is no single answer that holds across patches, ranks, and team compositions. If you want the highest tier in the cited June list, start with its S-tier heroes: Lucio, Kiriko, Wuyang, Juno, Ana, and Mizuki. Then choose among them based on what your team needs and what threats the opposing team presents. The evidence here does not establish a universal matchup guide or a complete current ranking by rank.

“Healer” is familiar shorthand, but Support value is broader than health restored. A hero can contribute through utility, mobility, or survivability as well as healing. Blizzard’s September 17, 2026 patch notes, for example, describe Kiriko as highly effective at healing while retaining utility and mobility; that is a balance signal, not proof that she is best in every lobby. Read Blizzard’s patch notes for the dated changes and commentary.
How to choose a Support for your match
- Start with the patch, not an old reputation. Balance updates can change a hero’s kit or performance. Blizzard’s April 17, 2026 notes documented Flash Heal being added to Mercy’s base kit, an Ana Biotic Grenade cooldown reduction, and increased Brigitte Barrier Shield health. Those changes illustrate why older rankings can become stale. Check the patch notes for the relevant update.
- Account for your rank and execution. A hero’s value can vary by skill tier and by how comfortably you can use the kit. A top-tier placement is a starting point, not a substitute for picking a hero you can play reliably.
- Fit the pick to both teams. Consider your allies’ composition and the enemy’s threats rather than choosing by tier alone. As Norris puts it, “you’ll need to change characters based on both your own team’s composition and the enemy’s.”
- Weigh more than healing. Consider utility, mobility, and survivability alongside healing output; the most useful Support is not necessarily the one with the biggest raw healing number.
How to check current Support performance
Blizzard’s Hero Statistics page tracks win rates, pick rates, competitive ban rates, and performance trends, and says the data updates with each patch. Before using it to decide who is strongest, check the selected filters—such as rank, region, mode, and input type—and compare like with like.

Win rate and pick rate describe different things. A high win rate does not automatically mean a hero is the most played or the best choice for every player. Blizzard’s earlier Season 3 analysis explicitly noted that the highest-win-rate heroes were not always the most played; its figures describe that historical period, not the 2026 live meta. Blizzard’s Season 3 developer commentary said most Supports were viable in nearly every skill tier at that time.
The live statistics excerpt available for this snapshot displayed Juno at 51.8% win rate and 20.4% pick rate, and Kiriko at 44.4% win rate and 28.6% pick rate. These are examples displayed on Blizzard’s live page when accessed in 2026, not a controlled head-to-head comparison: the excerpt does not establish a fully verified, matching filter state. Do not use those figures to declare one hero definitively better than the other.

What the ranking can—and cannot—tell you
The June 23, 2026 list is the most complete recent editorial tier list identified for this article, but it is not an October 2026 consensus. Blizzard’s current stats are dynamic, and a tier placement alone cannot account for your rank, composition, or individual proficiency. Use the list to narrow your options, then check Blizzard’s newest patch notes and live statistics with the filters that match your situation.
