Poker Night at the Inventory is back: Skunkape Games released its remaster on March 5, 2026, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The original 2010 game was later removed from sale; the new edition updates its presentation and poker systems while bringing its four crossover opponents back to current storefronts.

What is Poker Night at the Inventory?
It is a single-player No Limit Texas Hold’em game built around a table of recognizable guest characters. You play against Max from Sam & Max, Strong Bad from Homestar Runner, Tycho from Penny Arcade and The Heavy from Team Fortress. The game’s appeal is as much the banter and character matchups as the poker hands.

The original game launched in 2010 and was removed from sale nine years later, according to the official store descriptions. The remaster restores the title to official digital storefronts. Those listings do not establish a specific reason for the original delisting, so a licensing explanation should not be assumed.
What changed in the remaster?
Skunkape Games’ Steam description says the remaster updates character models, the environment, animation and lighting. It also adds settings for how often characters talk and the starting buy-in, plus optional motion blur and film grain, both off by default.
The developer and publisher also say the poker code and opponent decision-making have been revised. Its Steam page describes the result as a “far more accurate game of poker” with opponents making more informed decisions suited to their play style and personality. That is the studio’s product description, not an independent performance measurement.
Steam says the small remaster team includes former Telltale employees who worked on the original. The official descriptions also say character appearances are licensed and that original assets are used under license from Telltale Games.

How do you play, and what does it require?
PC input and minimum requirements
Steam supports both mouse input and gamepads, so a controller is optional rather than required. The listing’s minimum PC requirements are:
- Windows 10 or later and a 64-bit operating system
- 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
- 2 GB RAM
- DirectX 11
- 1 GB available storage
- DirectX 11-compatible sound device
Steam’s additional note says Intel integrated graphics are not supported. Check the live listing for the complete current specifications before installing.
Console play and accessibility details
The PlayStation Store describes the game as single-player and lists accessibility options including adjustable basic difficulty, pausing and manual saving. Its content descriptors include simulated gambling, strong language, suggestive themes, tobacco use and violence. The South African Nintendo page lists an age rating of 18 for that territory; ratings differ by region.
Which version should you choose?
- Choose Steam if you want to play on a supported Windows PC, use a mouse, or connect a gamepad.
- Choose PlayStation if you want a console version and have a PS4 or PS5. The store labels it a PS4 game, with PS5 playability subject to the listing’s feature caveat.
