SEGA has officially acknowledged clothing graphics issues in PSO2: NGS and listed affected items in a maintenance announcement. One named example is Lurking Ogre T2 [Ou], an Outerwear item. The notice includes a schedule dated August 4, 2026, but the title alone does not identify a specific item or symptom, so this is an official example of the broader issue—not proof that it is the exact report you encountered.
What SEGA’s announcement confirms
SEGA’s maintenance announcement groups the issue under “Bugs to be fixed in NGS and PSO2” and names clothing whose graphics were displaying incorrectly, including Lurking Ogre T2 [Ou]. The announcement covers both NGS and PSO2; it should not be described as an issue limited to NGS alone. The notice’s schedule includes August 4, 2026. Read SEGA’s maintenance announcements.
This confirms that SEGA acknowledged and planned a fix for clothing graphics defects. It does not establish that every player experienced the problem, or that a particular player’s visual issue was caused by the named item or the same defect.

Graphics displaying incorrectly
If clothing looks visually wrong in-game, compare the affected item and symptom with the clothing named in SEGA’s announcement. Lurking Ogre T2 [Ou] is one example; the announcement’s item list is more useful for matching a specific report than the broad phrase “outfit bug.”

Unable to equip outerwear
“Can’t equip outerwear” describes a different problem from incorrect graphics. In a 2022 Steam discussion, a player resolved an equipability issue after discovering they had the wrong body type. NGS and base-game body types are not interchangeable in that context, so check body-type compatibility before treating an inability to equip an item as a graphics bug. See the Steam discussion. This is a player discussion, not an official explanation of the graphics issue in SEGA’s later notice.
How to read SEGA’s bug-status labels
SEGA’s status list distinguishes reports from confirmed progress and intended behavior. The label attached to an entry tells you what SEGA has said about its status, not simply whether players have mentioned it. Check SEGA’s status list and legend.

A “report received” entry is not the same as a confirmed bug, and an investigation is not the same as a completed fix. For a clothing graphics report, look for the named issue and its current status rather than assuming that any similar player report has already been acknowledged.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the available notice does not establish
The announcement names affected clothing but does not give a count or percentage of players affected, how often the visual defect occurred, or how long it lasted. There is no supported figure for the issue’s overall scale. The named item and official notice establish that SEGA addressed a clothing graphics issue; they do not show that every outerwear or outfit problem has the same cause.
