This does not mean all Pokémon games are shutting down. Pokémon Bank has a separate, future closure date in 2027.
Did Pokémon UNITE shut down?
Yes. The official Pokémon UNITE notice says service ended in Belgium and the Netherlands on November 30, 2025. From that date, the app was no longer available to download on mobile devices or Nintendo Switch in those countries.
The notice does not say whether people who already had the app installed could continue playing, or explain what happened to purchases, account data, or refund requests. It also does not give a reason for ending service. Claims that a particular law, loot-box rule, player count, or business condition caused the decision are not established by the notice.
Can you still download Pokémon UNITE in Belgium or the Netherlands?
No. The notice says downloads ended in both countries on November 30, 2025, for mobile and Nintendo Switch. It does not clarify whether an already-installed copy remains accessible, so download availability should not be taken as an answer about continued access for existing players.

Is Pokémon Bank shutting down too?
Yes, but Pokémon Bank is a different service and its closure is scheduled for 2027. Nintendo’s Pokémon Bank notice sets the end of service at February 25, 2027, at 7:00 p.m. PST. Bank-to-Pokémon HOME transfers end at the same time, and Nintendo says Pokémon Bank is no longer available to download.
Pokémon’s Japanese announcement gives the equivalent deadline as February 26, 2027, at noon Japan time. The calendar dates differ because they are expressed in local time zones, not because they describe separate closures. If you want Pokémon stored in Bank to be in HOME, Pokémon advises moving them before service ends.

How is Pokémon TCG Online different?
Pokémon TCG Online was a separate, worldwide closure: its servers shut down on June 5, 2023, before Pokémon TCG Live launched globally on June 8, 2023. Pokémon Support’s sunset FAQ explains that players can sign in to TCG Live to migrate their account and eligible collection data. The FAQ says there is no current migration deadline, subject to future notice.

- If you are in Belgium or the Netherlands, Pokémon UNITE downloads ended in 2025; the official notice does not confirm ongoing access for players with the app already installed.
- If you use Pokémon Bank, plan any transfer to HOME before the stated 2027 deadline.
- If you played Pokémon TCG Online, its 2023 worldwide sunset is distinct from the UNITE regional closure, and Pokémon Support describes migration to TCG Live.
