Sony announced the lineup on August 28 and listed all three games for PS4 and PS5. The claim window has ended.
What were the September 2024 PS Plus games?
- Quidditch Champions (PS4, PS5): A fantasy sports game featuring four positions—Chaser, Seeker, Keeper and Beater—with solo play, career progression, exhibition matches, online co-op for teams of up to three friends, and competitive online matches.
- MLB The Show 24 (PS4, PS5): A baseball game that follows a player’s path from the minors to the big leagues and includes stories about famous and lesser-known baseball legends. This is Sony’s description, not an independent assessment of the game.
- Little Nightmares II (PS4, PS5): A horror-themed platform adventure in which Mono and Six work together, using stealth, items and puzzle-solving.
Sony’s August 28, 2024 announcement introduced the lineup. Sony’s Adam Michel, Senior Director of Content Acquisition & Operations, said: “Take flight into the wizarding world when Quidditch Champions launches September 3, making its debut as part of September’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup.”
When could members claim the games?
The claim window ran from September 3 to September 30, 2024. Sony’s September 24 announcement of the next lineup reminded members that September 30 was the last day to add the three games. That offer is now over.
What did “free” mean?
These were a PlayStation Plus member benefit during a fixed claim period, not permanently free games available to everyone. The announcement says the titles were available to members during that window, but does not give a complete region-by-region or subscription-tier eligibility breakdown. Sony also notes that PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineups may differ by region, so check the regional PlayStation Store for local availability.
