Sony describes Patapon Remastered as a “rhythm-based 2D platform/action game.” You lead the Patapon tribe, which has been driven from its home by the Zigoton army, by entering drum commands that guide its actions. Sony says the PS4 version has refreshed graphics output in 1080p and 4K on compatible displays. This is a display-resolution claim, not a guarantee of a particular frame rate, visual enhancement beyond the stated output, or technical performance on every screen.
Who is it for?
- Consider it if: you like rhythm games, command-based action, or an unusual premise, and are happy to practice timing.
- Be cautious if: you want controls that are intuitive from the start or prefer action games without a timing-driven command system.
