Persona 5: The Phantom X uses separate currencies for contracts, shop exchanges, character and equipment upgrades, and ordinary purchases. A ticket or token is not necessarily valid on every banner or in every shop, so check the destination shown in-game before spending. The inventory below combines a June 2025 third-party guide with later, dated SEGA updates; it is a starting point, not a definitive catalog for every region or current version.
Which currencies can you use for contracts and summons?
Summon-related items are the easiest to confuse. Meta Jewels are reported as a contract currency for Phantom Idols and Personas, while tickets are tied to particular contract types. The live banner’s requirements are authoritative: names and eligibility can change, so inspect its details before using a ticket or currency.
Meta Jewels and Cognition Crystals
A June 2025 Pro Game Guides inventory reports that Meta Jewels can be used for summons and may be accepted on some banners. It lists missions, Synergy ranks, events, awards, Lufel’s Plan, login rewards, Phantom Pass goals, treasure chests, Velvet Trials, and Palace rewards as possible earning routes. These are older guide details; check the current game for available rewards and the banner’s accepted currency.
The same guide describes Cognition Crystals as a paid store currency that can be converted into Meta Jewels. SEGA’s April 30, 2026 shop notice provides a dated example of a limited Seven-Day Spoils Pass: it offered 300 Cognition Crystals, 700 Meta Jewels, and 42,000 yen over seven days, and ended May 21, 2026. Those amounts and that offer are not a current price list or an indication of what is on sale now. Read SEGA’s dated shop notice.
Gold Tickets and Platinum Tickets
The June 2025 guide assigns Gold Tickets to permanent and non-Dream Pick contracts and Platinum Tickets to Dream Pick contracts. Treat those assignments as reported guidance rather than a guarantee for every current banner: open the banner and confirm which ticket it accepts.
For acquisition, the guide lists missions, event rewards, shop exchanges, Phantom Idol raising, weekly Phantom Pass rewards, and treasure chests as Gold Ticket routes; it lists event rewards, store packs, and the Premium Phantom Pass as Platinum Ticket routes. SEGA’s July 30, 2026 Phantom Pass notice specifically confirms Gold Tickets as rewards from that season’s missions. It does not establish that the same rewards or ticket availability recur every season. See SEGA’s Phantom Pass season notice.
Banner-specific Fates and Coins
Prydwen’s guide, last updated December 9, 2025, distinguishes Future Fates for permanent character banners, Predetermined Fates for limited character banners, and Predetermined Coins for limited weapon banners. These are third-party, dated descriptions; use the live banner’s label to confirm what it accepts and where its currency comes from.
What do exchange tokens buy?
Exchange tokens are generally spent in a particular shop, rather than used as a universal payment. Check the named shop and its current inventory before saving or exchanging them.

SEGA introduced Crystal Cognigems in version 4.6, announced July 29, 2026. After the same five-star Phantom Thief has been drawn seven times, qualifying additional draws award Crystal Cognigems: four per draw if that Thief is available in Phantom Idol Draft X, or ten per draw if the Thief is not available there. These are duplicate-draw conversion amounts, not a general reward for any five-star draw. SEGA said eligible earlier draws would be compensated through in-game mail, with processing potentially taking up to ten days.

Salamander Coins and weapon exchanges
SEGA’s July 30, 2026 Phantom Pass notice says Salamander Coins from that season’s Premium Phantom Pass lane can be exchanged for five-star weapons at the Airsoft Shop in Shibuya. The notice also says Phantom Pass EXP and levels reset each season, and Premium rewards unlock only for the season in which the pass was purchased. This describes that dated season; check the current pass and shop for present availability.

These older routes and shop uses should be confirmed in the current UI.

The following routes and uses come from Pro Game Guides’ June 30, 2025 inventory unless noted. Updates may have changed them, and this is not a complete current-version list.
| Currency | Reported use | Reported route or qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Konpaku Gems | Upgrade Personas, skills, and weapons | Missions, enemies, shop exchanges, and final chests in Realm of Repression; also included in SEGA’s dated 2026 bundle examples. |
| Assist Reward | Upgrade materials | Use another player’s Assist Character or have another player use yours. |
| Schema Points | Main character passive skills | Register Personas in the Velvet Room compendium. |
| Repression Medals | Persona Seals | Final chests from Persona missions in Realm of Repression. |
| Yen | Ordinary purchases, including capsule mechanics and food | Missions and City Life jobs. |
| Wingbeat Coin | Cosmetics | Hoot-N-Loot daily login bonus every two days, according to the guide. |

The table reflects a third-party guide published June 30, 2025, not an official or exhaustive October 2026 inventory. For example, the guide says Repression Medals come from final chests in Realm of Repression; it does not establish that as the only route. Check current activity rewards and shop listings in-game.

How should you check before spending?
- Open the destination first. On a contract banner, read its details to confirm the accepted currency or ticket and the eligible contract type.
- Check an exchange token’s named shop. Read the current inventory and limits before converting it; old guides and screenshots can describe items that are no longer available.
- Look for time limits. For a pass, bundle, or event reward, check the season or offer end date. SEGA’s July 2026 notice says pass progress resets each season and Premium rewards are tied to the season of purchase.
- Confirm the account and region for purchases. The P5X Official Web Store describes itself as an authorized Xsolla Web Store. Its stated flow is to log in with the in-game Player ID, choose items and payment, then receive purchased items by logging in to the game. Payment options and availability may vary by region; check the store terms and in-game account before purchasing. Visit the P5X Official Web Store.
P5X is free-to-play with optional in-game purchases, according to SEGA’s customer support and launch information. Currency descriptions tell you what a token is for; they do not establish that a paid offer is good value. SEGA support: in-game purchases.
