Sony’s February 12, 2026 State of Play ran just over an hour and covered new game reveals, updates, release dates, demos, and PlayStation Plus additions. The biggest closing news was an early-development remake of the original Greek God of War trilogy, alongside the surprise reveal and same-day PS5 release of God of War Sons of Sparta. Here is Sony’s full announcement recap, with firm dates distinguished from broader release windows and announcements without a stated date.

Sony’s full recap includes trailers and links to selected game write-ups. Sony’s pre-show notice described the broadcast as focused on third-party and indie games headed to PS5 alongside PlayStation Studios news.

How to read the release windows

Sony’s recap mixes exact calendar dates with seasonal or annual windows and announcements that have no timing attached. “This year,” “later this year,” “this spring,” and “next year” are the wording used in the February 12, 2026 post; they are not confirmation of availability on October 8, 2026. For a specific game, use the linked creator article or trailer from Sony’s announcement roundup for additional detail. The roundup is an announcement recap, not a review or hands-on report.
